Vicodin and Crutches

No two steppin' in the New years this year.

So in 2011 I bought my first house, got my very own four legged piece of Summer and am ending the year on Vicodin and crutches. Finally sold pictures at the gallery and at end of the year found my photo groove again.

I guess I give the year two thumbs up.

People grow and seasons change and the sun goes east to west
Essence of love and golden rays of future days
Things left unsaid while passing their time
True to the soul of your wondrous mind
Countdown the dreams as a New Year starts

Peace Love and Happiness to all.
Thank you for being here everyday.
You make me smile and think and most importantly happy we are here together.

It's Friday Friday

When was the last time you heard this?

Well it seems the pilot light must have gone out on the furnace cause it is damm cold in the house this morning. Need to have the gas company come out and look at the unit since it is on the roof and I know nothing about this thing.

Last Friday of 2011. Adios.

Been a quiet week at work and I have no problems with that at all. Needed one.

Should I do a roadtrip this weekend.

Time to take a shower in my cold house.

Blues

Here is some nice tasty blues and ripping guitar work. Enjoy.

If you have not seen Breaking Bad rent it from Netflix. Brian Cranston, the dad from Malcolm in the Middle, is a teacher/meth dealer. Great tv show amd worth the rent.

So I plan to plant gourds, pepper, little maters in the garden, some herbs and a few other things. What type of fun veggie should I plant.

Come on people lets work with Iran. Yes they keep our buttons and we bite every time.
Instead of being the bully we need to try the other side of the coin of kill them with kindness. Their people will be behind us. They are an educated populace and know full well what is going on.

I still have not won lotto. Boo.

Lynn Samuels

Today's post is dedicated to the late Sirius talk show host Lynn Samuels.
Yesterday I learned that Lynn passed away on Christmas Eve.

Somewhere around 2006-2007 while roaming around the Sirius radio channels I came across this voice that was unlike anything else I had ever heard on radio. It was the voice I knew of a what one envisions of a stereotypical New York Jewish woman. I was right. I was hooked from that point on.

She was on the Sirius left channel Monday through Friday and I began listening to her at lunch most every day. Lynn's show was politics and entertainment and what was going in her apartment building or any other subject that happened to wander into her mind at the time. She was a liberal who hated Obama, wanted to carry a handgun, hated illegal immigrants, loved Stephen King and most importantly loved her audience. She had quite a foul mouth and was quite liberal in her use of "fuck" amongst other words that you can't say on regular radio.

She was my lunch date for several years. For some reason unknown to anyone Sirius took her off weekdays earlier this year and moved her to Saturday's this year. With her show being Saturday and Sunday morning's from 10 - 1 she become my weekend morning date. Going out to yard sales and flea markets or on a roadtrip Lynn was my faithful companion. This move to weekends broke her heart I believe.

Sometimes you know somebody you never met and they touch you in some way and they become part of your life. Lynn was one of those people.

The song post for today was what she played and sang along with every Friday at 2 p.m., I never did know why. She vowed never to play it again as long as she was only on weekend.

Here is her Obit in the NY Times.

Here is her website. The top two posts are Lynn Samuels Christmas and podcast 2.
They are little snipets of shows over the years. Give it a listen.

We will miss you Lynn. We will not forget you.

Movin' On

Quiet and moderately enjoyable Christmas. Presents were good and the ham was good.

Went for a nice ride yesterday and on Christmas day. Got some good pictures. Time to upload them and show the world. The groove is coming back.

I like not having to get up for work. Maybe I win 206 million in Powerball tonight.
Remodel the house house and guest garage house. Put a pool and hot tub in. Redo the yard and get a good garden growing. Buy a new vehicle and new camera. See America.
You wanna go for a ride?

What to do for New Years?

Snow in Tennessee?

The Eve

Well I expect to go to bed early tonight since Santa has a lot to leave at my house and I do not want to delay his trip over to Sammy's house.

May you all have a joyful Christmas Eve my friends.

Eve of The Eve

What the hell is up with the outfits in the second video.

Have you had any Eggnog?

Summer is getting a bath for Christmas much to her dismay.

PEZ Christmas.

Have an Eve of a day.

Wild Child

Don't post enough Doors. Here is a nice little video.

Work is having lunch for us today.

Rain yesterday. Rain today. Some rain the next few days. Where is the snow?

No Christmas fudge from Mom. Boo.

What the hell is going on in Syria?

Ron Paul? If he really is libertarian why is against abortion. It should not matter to a libertarian.

Have to go grocery shopping for bacon, eggs and food for my Christmas dinner. I guess maybe ham will the ticket.

Have a short work day.

Tired

I like Bob's version. Fits his voice quite well.

Fell asleep at 10 p.m. the last couple nights. Very tired the last few days.

Looks like rain on and off through Christmas. No chance of snow here.

I have 8 months worth of pictures on my camera. How damm lazy is that?
I need wireless upload from camera to pc.

If you use Kindle check out Kindle Nation Daily they have tons of free book listings.
It is pretty cool. I downloaded six books this past weekend.

Started getting seed catalogs. Gonna plan my garden. Thinking some little gourds might be cool to grow.

Time to walk Summer between the raindrops.

Blog with later. Sorry for being lazy.

The Countdown

Good thing we are out of Iraq we can go to Korea next.

The Solstice and Christmas are a coming. Are you ready. We are going to have a warm week. Where is the snow?

Took Summer for a 2 mile walk in the woods yesterday. She was good and tired about 3/4 of the way through and was dragging. Saw lots of deer blinds in trees and on the ground. Good thing it was afternoon time or maybe I could have been shot.

Went into a store Saturday afternoon and left when I saw the line for the four registers was about 100 people long. Wow.

Have a good Monday.

Catch up on the web comments later my friends.

Observations

These guys are a band I need to see live.

Well we are now "officially" out of Iraq. Except for the 15,000 to 17,000 CIA, FBI, DEA and other assorted letters that are still there. Oh yeah the security is being provided by contractors. The embassy is 104 acres. One of the largest in the world.
Of course we have a large force in Kuwait so we can go in and be the hero's or invade Iran. You make the call. Pathetic.

Ken and others like my myself who have a Kindle have quite clearly noticed the rising prices of a large number of books from Amazon and other e-reader services. Why in hell would I pay more for a non book when I can get the book cheaper. If I wait a bit I can get the real thing much cheaper on Ebay, your local yardsale or free from the library. To hell with 'em. I can get plenty of decently written novels for free or under $2.00. I will not pay the prices they are asking and the backlash is beginning. Just buy your cheap novels or get as many free ones as possible and laugh. Are the publishing houses trying to kill e-readers?

The drones are coming. Jamming devices anyone.

Be afraid of SOPA.

Quiet

Here is shot from Bryce Canyon from the 2006 vacation. I recommend going out there if you can. The west is a very interesting place. Bryce was impressive.

Not much else going on. Work is still very busy. Have not seen it like this in many years. Not sure what it means but governments seem to have money to spend.

Did you know local governments have used drones on U.S. citizens? When is the U.S. version of the Stasi coming to your neighborhood?

That is it for this morning.

Have a whimsical Wednesday.

Sleepy Time

Vollis Simpson's whirligig park.

Temps are cool this morning. Gonna be in the 50's today and 60's Wed and Thursday or Thursday and Friday.
Hardly feels like winter as of now. The winter solstice is coming soon. The longer days will be nice. Do not like getting home and it being dark.

One of the odd things with the weather and atmosphere is how it affects the sound of train whistles. There are times like yesterday when they seem extraordinarily loud and you can hear them a long way off. Have you noticed this Ken?

I am thinking of heading over towards Cherokee New Years weekend and do some shooting, weather permitting. Need new pictures of the area and want to get more pictures to put in a different gallery.

My house has about 20 different temperature zones.

A picture fell off the wall the other night. Damm trains. :)

Tasty

Some tasty Black Crowes blues for breakfast. Enjoy with your coffee.

Went to the gallery yesterday and some things have finally sold and 4x6 actually sold while I was there.

Gonna go picture taking this morning before I head out and Christmas shop. Not motivated for that adventure at all, the shopping part.

Seems the cable man was here this week and replaced the cable running from the pole to the house. Two problems. One, I had no idea they were going to be here roaming around the yard. Two, the cable is now running on the ground across the walkway leading to the guesthouse and there are miles of extra cable laying in the yard. Now I suspect that they replaced the cable because of shitty service and that is a good thing. However they should have left a note saying they were here. A call would have been better and why leave the cable running on the ground across the yard. Amazing.

The dryer works great.

The Gibsonville Xmas parade was yesterday. Tons of church were represented. Typical small town parade. Lots of folks were in town watching. Would be nice if they had a reason to stay afterwards.

Time for a shower, feed Summer, wash clothes and head out for a bit

Peace.

Occupy a Friday

Another long week is winding down, thankfully. Very long days this week.

Going to the gallery tomorrow morning. This is the last month I am keeping my photos there. Time to look for one closer to home and one that will produce some sales.

Some Christmas shopping to do and nothing else planned.

Switching Summers food to a grain free food. I think the other food is causing her to have fry skin.

Nice drone that Iran captured.

Thursday, December 8, 2011

Why are they so long

Newt wants John Bolton for Secretary of State. Yea, that is what we need, a war monger in that position.

The Gibsonville Christmas parade is Saturday afternoon. Picture time.

Man this week has been a long week.

Looks like I'll be staying in NC for Christmas. Too expensive to fly home.

My dryer works quite well. Much better than line drying.

When is the press going to let the people know we are engaging in a secret war with Iran. It is happening. Could get ugly.

5 p.m. Friday needs to be here now.

Mariah for my present

This woman can sing so amazingly well, and she is still damm hot.

I'd like her under my tree, please

Tuesday, December 6, 2011

Fools

One of my favorite songs. Desperado is a killer album. On my top ten list.

Did you see Donald Trump going off on assorted folks yesterday. What a big blow hard he is. Occupy should go to his offices and hold a sit-in in his offices.

Tree is decorated.

I'll have a dryer up and running today. Hooray.

Very odd weather. Super humid.

Time to walk the monster. I am getting the evil eye.

Monday, December 5, 2011

Damm

Well I did not win Lotto so I have to work this week.

Picked up my dryer Saturday. Gas company is coming tomorrow to hook it up. It will be used tomorrow evening. Hooray.

Trimmed the azaleas way way down Saturday. They were much to high. They should look good in the spring when they fill in. I would rather cut them down and may after the spring bloom.

Put some ornaments and lights on the tree in front of the house.

The tree will be done tonight.

Otherwise a standard weekend doing things around the house.

Christmas shopping should be done soon so.

Looks like my grandmother will be in CT. for Christmas. Not sure if I am going home or not. Really can not afford to go. We shall see.

Wanted to mow the leaves in the back. The pull cord on the mower decided not to works. Seems like it is sprung. Arrgghhh.

Fish for dinner.

Stomp on a Newt.

Have a nice day.

Half week

I saw these guys a gazzillion times back in New Haven and over at the beach in Rhode Island. A great part of my college age years.

Snow fell in parts of NC yesterday. Nothing but a little rain here. Now windy and cold.

The man is now clearing out Occupy LA. Are the using pepper spray?

The the conventions next year will be tumultuous? Shades of 68 or Kent State.

I think I am getting my mom a single cup coffee maker for Christmas. She seems to like those.

Do you watch Storage Wars?

One step closer to Friday>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Miley

Miley, you little stoner. Nice job with the video.

I am picking up my gas dryer on Friday. My Christmas gift from my parents. Woo Hoo.

We did not get as much rain as they said we were going to get. I guess some places got hammered with rain and maybe some snow in the higher mountains.

Got to do some Christmas shopping this weekend. Some is already done. Mostly handmade gifts.

Have to change Summer's food. I think the good i am getting her, it is good food, is causing her skin to be dry. Need something with no grain in it.

Peace. Summer says I have to pp.

Sunday, November 27, 2011

I'm still here

Been busy taking my parents to see some different places around the area.

Friday we went to a couple of antique shops, had bbq for lunch, then went to Seagrove to some potters. I bought my self two more dinner plates so now I four from the same potter. Also bought a very expensive coffee cup. Now all my coffee cups, except the one that goes for roadtrips, are from area potters. All other cups and dinner plates will be relegated to the yard sale section of the guest house.

Went out for breakfast yesterday, a new place Tammy, and had shrimp and grits, two eggs, biscuit, sausage and oj. The shrimp and grits were yummy. Went to a little flea market down the street and picked up my brother/sister-in-laws last present. Also got Mike his. All hand made items. On the way home stopped at a classic roadside yard sale in the parking lot of a recycling place. The old man selling was quite something. Talking about Jesus and great weather and how he was a teamster and drove all over the U.S. and then he sold me a fake Christmas tree. It is white.
$10 deal of the day.

My dad and I raked more leaves.

We went a bought a gas dryer. Woo hoo. No more line drying for things.

OK. Taking Summer for a walk. Found .26 yesterday. I am getting richer with each walk. If I walk across the U.S. I could be rich and famous for "Walking with Summer".

Thanksgiving Day

Thanks to William Burroughs for his ever insightful thoughts.

May Ken and Sammy and Tammy and Mike be blessed with turkey and pie and maybe a jar of baby food. May the conversation be stimulating and the naps just as good. May you Occupy your couch or your favorite chair as your waistline strains your underwear.

May you think of family and friends long departed and newly born.
May you think of friends near and far, if you were closer I'd hop in my car.

Mike, Tammy, Tia, Cody..............gobble gobble gobble. Miss y'all.

Ken, Sammy Jeremy, may the three generations be bound together by Carolyn's bountiful meal.

Mom and Dad are still sleeping. I am sure they would say Hi.

Almost Gobble

This woman tried out and never made it too American Idol. This song sold millions.

Are you ready for tomorrow? Have all your fixings? Pumpkin pie, hmmmm.

Parents are good.

You going shopping Thanksgiving. Hope not. That shit pisses me off.

I am going to take my parents on a roadtrip and show them some sights.

Gotta take Summer for a walk. She is getting antsy.

Peace.

Who's America

Why is this acceptable in the United States when we vilify other nations of the world for doing the same thing. It is not acceptable. As a matter of fact what you have seen here on the part of the police officer is most likely going to cost him and others their jobs, as it should. How come so many leaders and the lackeys are so willing to trample on the freedom of speech and the right to assemble.

Found a nice pair of gloves and a nice big camping knife while walking Summer today.

Parents will be here tomorrow. I think I am ready, the house seems to be ready also.

Time to watch a movie. Wait I have to blow dry Summer first.

Friday, November 18, 2011

Wow

Massive day for Occupy. 20,000 or more marched in NYC. Very nice.
I feel another national day coming on. I think New Years day in Washington D.C. should the target day.

Below freezing this morning.

It is the lighting of the green in Gibsonville tonight. Carolers and other events going on. I think there is free food involved also.

Busy weekend. Good house cleaning, going to pickup a turkey and other goodies the week. Also hope to go down to Seagrove to the massive pottery show.

Time to walk the dog, the iron my shirt. Has many wrinkles. Way too many.

Oh yeah, must blow leaves.

Thursday, November 17, 2011

Hump Day plus one

The strong storms missed here. They were close by. We did get lots of rain though.
Looks like another round of leaf blowing this weekend along with the final prep for my parents visit.

Sorry gotta run. Late this morning. Time for breakfast and a shower.

Be well my friends.

Tuesday, November 15, 2011

THEY are afraid

So the man is proving they are afraid of Occupy. Early this morning the NYPD went in and cleared out Zuccotti Park because they were worried about the plan to shut down Wall Street Thursday and march on the Brooklyn Bridge Thursday. They are afraid that "We the People" are gaining power and strength and changing the discussion of America.

This will be the defining moment of the movement. What tactics do we use next to keep the movement going forward? A mass march on Washington DC with all the Occupy Americans will make all our leaders stand up and be counted. The time is now!!!!!!!!
Stay tuned America.

Peace.

Leaf me alone

This is a great song by the Dixie Chicks. Talk about a band who suffered from right wing fanatics. They never fully recovered from their thoughts on George bush and the war. It is a shame they were blacklisted by fanatical war mongers in country music.

Picked up the two twin beds Saturday. The house is ready for guests. Y'all come on over.

Raked and used the leaf blower to do half the yard yesterday. Also cut down some bushes along the side of the guest house. Grass and flowers will go in there in the spring. With half the leaves still on the trees there will be more raking and leaf blowing to do. It sucks that it is dark so early now. Any yard work is for the weekend only, boo.

That is it really. Quiet weekend for the most part.

Now Newt is making a surge. Bahahaha.

Have a great Monday.

Saturday, November 12, 2011

No bath for the birds

High steppin round the livin room to dis tune. Some fine pickin.

This morning while walking past the bird bath I go to swipe the leaves off the top and discover a nice layer of ICE. What the heck is that all about. Now that is crazy. Gonna be 60 today.

Busy day today. Need to pick up two twin beds for upstairs, some dinnerware for turkey day, do laundry, suck up dog hair, pay bills, look for some chairs for the dining room. Blow around some leaves too.

Ken, I am still waiting for you too put in the line for my dryer.

Riot

This albums makes me want to drive 100 in a 30 mph speed zone.
This is what hard rock and metal are all about. In my top list of albums.
If there was one singer I could sing like it would be DIO.

49 million Americans live at or below the poverty line. Wow. Just unacceptable.

Here is a way to fix the economy, fuckheads. Pay us more money. We will spend more and that alone will create jobs.

Finding lots of dead squirrels around. Falling out of trees? Getting hit by cars.

The more we see Rick Perry the I want him to be the nominee. I would be a fun fest of stupid comments.

If the U.S. can use drones wherever we want why can't other countries?
Got a good answer for that? Did not think so.

Wednesday, November 9, 2011

Crazy

Gonna be near 70 today. Then the high only 53 on Friday.

Voters voted down the republicans last night. We won back union workers rights in Ohio,we won back same day voter registration in Maine and voted down an attempted law in Mississippi saying life begins at conception. Are these Occupy wins?

Looks like the new J. Edgar Hoover movie is going to be a good one.

I need curtains for the living room.

First two recommendations from the doc I saw yesterday was exercise and eat a good breakfast instead of blogging in the morning.

Do you want my blog for breakfast or dinner?

Tuesday, November 8, 2011

Trouble

Good hippy music for a Tuesday morning.

Big problems for Joe Pa and Herman Cain. Why are there so many problems with sexual issues all around us. Is it the work of the devil?

Goodbye Joe Frazier. One of the true boxing legends has moved one.
He was a great boxer in the golden days of boxing. Only 67.

Going to be 70 today. Wish I was off from work. This is outdoor weather.

What do you want for Christmas?

Stop barking Summer. Please.

Monday, November 7, 2011

Falling Back

Did you fall back this weekend? I got about 8 hours sleep Saturday and Sunday night.
Very rare event.

I really did not do much else this weekend. Cleaned the house and combed Summer.
Both should be daily events.

Did take a few pictures Sunday morning. I have many on my camera to upload.

Banks have made more profits in the last two years than they did in all 8 years under Bush. The average wall street salary has gone up 16% in the last two years.

If you have not received a raise in the last two years you have had a salary decrease with the cost of good rising as they have.

Gonna be a busy week at work. UUGGH.

Thanksgiving in two weeks.

The stupid and the badass

So the last few days the trains have been laying heavy on the whistle/horn be because some stupid mother*ucker, who dad should have worn a condom, decided to play chicken with a train. He jumped away at the last minute and the train conductor about had a heart attack. He got arrested. Dumb *uck.

Nice little clip from when the Rolling Stones defined badass. They were clicking on all cylinders as far as the music they were making is concerned. Enjoy the vibe for your Friday breakfast.

Nice job of some more folks, whose dads also should have worn condoms, in Oakland Wednesday night. Anarchists, general trouble makers, infiltrators and other fools hijacked the protest after a long successful day. This is not what we need to move the movement along. It will happen but really this needs to be put to rest.
There has been a slight, but noticeable turn against OWS in the press the last few days. They want things to be hijacked.

Hey Jeremy Mayfield need some Meth.

Doc visit Friday morning. Woo Hoo.

Peace mi amigos and amigas.

Wednesday, November 2, 2011

Drat

Drat, I was thinking today was Thursday. Not sure where the lost day went.

Bought a cheap little fire pit at Home Depot yesterday. Time to burn down the hood.

Watch and see what happens at Occupy Oakland today. Will it be peaceful or will the police come in riot gear. Hopefully it is not ugly.

Time for a shower. Running late. This little bit took 20 minutes to come up with.
Must be fog on the brain this morning.

Action

So Occupy has been going on for six weeks at this point and now it is getting to the point where we need to start calling for action as a united Occupy front. We need to start pressuring government agencies to start prosecuting the Wall Street officials who caused the mess we are in now. We need to bring several lawsuits that will end the current law that gives corporations the same rights as people. We need to change laws that are leading the U.S. to have the largest prison population in the world. Too many non violent offenders are filling our jails. We need to force them to fully fund our educational system. We need to force them to stop killing people around the world in all our wars.

I think we need a national Occupy day in Washington where all the groups across the country march on the White House as a united front so the leaders and the world can see that we the occupy movement are one United front.

If we as Occupy continue to occupy and do not start to call and force actions by our leaders the movement will lose its power. It is time to force action.

Words

Words can mean nothing or they can be quite powerful.

Look at this and see how the same guy, with my description, can be viewed much differently.

Peace officer -- Bring peace to the people.
Police officer -- Polices the people.
Law enforcement officer -- Enforces the people.

Which one of those three do you want to meet when you have problems and which one would you rather not talk with.

Herman Cain's words to some women may cost his run for president.

Even us heathens can feel the power of religion with the words sung here by the lovely Alison Krauss.

Something I read this weekend in Adbusters.

It's pretty amazing that our society has reaches a point where the effort necessary to extract oil from the ground, ship it to a refinery, turn it into plastic, shape it appropriately, truck it to a store, buy it and bring it home is considered to be less effort than what it takes to just wash the spoon when you're done with it.

What are words for when no listens anymore.

Crazy

Occupy the winter........

So the police state continues to arrest people for expressing their rights to speak and the right to stay in the public parks they are occupying. They are giving them time limits. There are no time limits on the freedom of speach. The parks are public and should never close. Our taxes pay for them and our taxes are being collected and used 24 hours a day.

They are now justifying there riot police actions because they say they are getting attacked.

1. Leave. They are peaceful actions. If the riot police were not there maintaining the police state there would be no rioting.

2. Government's never change without a mass movement of the people. Where would the civil rights and anti-war movements of the 60's have gone if we had stayed home?

3. Do you really think the police are part of the 99%? While the individual officer is, the force is most certainly not. It is group speak and group think that is used enslave their minds so they can do the bidding of the corporate paymasters.

30 here this morning Will make drying clothes a little tough
Bought four shirts yesterday to cover my pregnancy. 2XL for my baby.

My nephew found a full time job in California. He is working at a machine shop. They want to teach him the ropes so he can do the quality control work for them. Math paid off for him.

My parents got 3 or 4 inches of snow. They were lucky. No loss of power.

Putting shelves up in garage/guest house this morning. Maybe a little road trip this afternoon.

Thursday, October 27, 2011

Muddy Nation

So a Iraq war veteran was protesting in Oakland on Tuesday and he was hit in the head with some projectile fired by the Oakland police and now he in a medically induced coma. Nice jobs THUGS.

So in order to get more business I am now bidding in North and South Dakota, Wyoming, Montana, Idaho and more government bids, along with both Carolina's, Virginia, Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia and Florida. Busy busy bee.

I need to get some new clothes. My wardrobe is very tiny. My waist is not.

My cable is now working fine. They came out and swapped out some splitters and gave me a new cable box.

Lots of leaves to be raked or blown with the blower.

Wednesday, October 26, 2011

The opening round

Nice job by the Oakland police yesterday. This is what we will begin to see all over the country in other cities from this point forward as city leaders begin to express what they really think about the Occupy movement.

I see another national day of protest coming very soon. Maybe all the cities can go to Washington for a massive march.

Some cold weather coming soon. Highs in the fifties this weekend. Can snow be far behind?

Herman Cain now leads the polls for the 1%. Oh what insanity can they produce next for us.

Tuesday, October 25, 2011

Cobwebs

Some claim Jimmy Martin is the King of bluegrass.

Cobwebs on the brain this morning. Slept like a rock.

So Sunday I went to the mountains and there we hardly any leaves left on the trees.
On the west side of the parkway mostly gone or close to being gone.
East side of the parkway had leaves going from green to brown in most cases.
Boo......

I was talking with someone who said they have had flurries twice in the Boone area already. The first time was Sept. 30th. Someone from work was in the mountains in Virginia, skiing area, and there was snow on the ground. Does not bode well for winter this year.

So I went to a shoe store yesterday and felt like a piece of meat. There were tons of salesman hanging around like vultures. Annoying and of course they had nothing I wanted.

See u later.

Could have been

Mother Love Bone was to have been the band to come out of Seattle but the singer, Andy Wood, went and overdosed on heroin. These guys have been one of my favorite bands of the pre-grunge era.

Two other members of Mother Love Bone were Stone Gossard and Jeff Ament who ended up teaming up with Eddie Vedder after the death of Andy Wood and that in turn gave us Pearl Jam.

The other story of the day relates to my participating in the "National Day of Protest to Stop Police Brutality, Repression and Criminalization of a Generartion". The turn out was fair, 50 or so folks, and was lead by a woman whose son was killed by a Guildford County Deputy 10 years ago. He was unarmed and was killed within two minutes of the polices arrival. He needed medical attention not police intervention. Since that time this woman has dedicated her life to stopping police brutality.

We stood one a corner at a main intersection for 30 minutes before the march then we marched through one of the cities subsidized housing neighborhoods with the CaK a Lak drummers loudly drumming and someone with a megaphone at the very front calling out the the folks that lived there. We chanted "No more stolen lives" as we marched. We were well recieved. At the end of the march we went back to the corner for another 30 minutes while people spoke insluding one of our Occupy Greensboro members. His story. He has PTSD and while at the hospital waiting for treatment there was a confrontation between him and a security guard. Police came and the situation escalated. A fight ensued with the officer and he was tazed three times, ended up with a broken wrist, two broken ribs, locked in a straight jacket chair for 24 hours with no food and no allowed to get out to relieve himself. No charges filed against him.

Remember if you ever get arrested just give them your name and NEVER tell them anything else. Immediately tell them you want a lawyer. They will try to trick you and convince you that telling them everything will be to your benefit.

What "Could Have Been" for all the victims of police brutality.

I gave Summer a bath in the bathtub. She was not overly thrilled but was very good.
She has to look for her first trip to see the fall leaves.
Weather has been perfect today and tomorrow is more of the same.

Friday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have seen these guys a few times and they always put on a great show. Think they deserved more recognition than they get.

Tomorrow is the Stop Police Brutality day. I think Greensboro's march is going to be a big one.

I finally feel good. Monday and Tuesday fighting off a cold, Wednesday can't poop, Thursday pooping too much. What the hell?

Summer is feisty this morning. I think she likes the cold weather. She will have fun in the mountains on Sunday.

What world leader do we kill next? Watch out, American colonialism is coming to your country so we can keep the military industrial complex alive and well for the 1%.

Be kind.

That's it for this morning. Running late.

Standing up

Guess they don't want to take down a soldier in front of all that media.
Black man with no cameras around and he would have been taken down. That is the American reality.

The general assembly meeting last night was very frustrating. Bogged down in bullshit and nothing getting done. I left after an hour. It was leave or speak up and offend people and be viewed as a troublemaker.

Good rain last night. Leaves will be coming down in droves. Leaf blower time is coming.

Nothing else much going on.

My nephew loves California so far. He has a part time job at Subway.

Would a general strike work in the U.S.?

Hump your way to a happy day.

The Poison Apple

Another sign from  Saturday. Like the placement of the apple, nice touch.
Protest at the Bank of America downtown at 4 p.m. today.

Sore throat and the beginnings of a cold. Yea.

I bought some cheap dog food the other day, I usually buy her very good dry food, it makes her poo green.
Umm, me thinks that not be a good thing.

80 yesterday and today. Lovely.

Gotta run.

Peace.

Occupy Greensboro

Power to the people
Power to the people
Power to the people
Power to the people
Power to the people
Power to the people
Power to the people
Power to the people, right on

Say we want a revolution
We better get on right away
Well you get on your feet
And on the street

Singing power to the people
Power to the people
Power to the people
Power to the people, right on

Oh, when your man is working for nothing
You better give 'em what they really own
We got to put you down
When we come into town

Singing power to the people
Power to the people
Power to the people
Power to the people, right on

I'm gonna ask you comrade and brother
How do you treat your own woman back home
She got to be herself
So she can give herself

Singing power to the people
Power to the people
Power to the people
Power to the people, right on

Oh well, power to the people
Power to the people
Power to the people
Power to the people, right on, etc.

Yesterday was a great day in Greensboro. Mother Nature blessed us with temps on the upper 60's / low 70's and not one cloud in her vibrant blue sky.

As I walked to the Greensboro government center with a couple other of the Occupy marchers we were feeling great. That feeling was electric when we got close and saw the size and diversity of the crowd. Young and old, brown skinned and white skinned, preachers and atheists, abled and disabled,, liberals, conservatives, communists and anarchists. It is our America. The scene was one of a crowd elated to be joined together to make our world a better place. The signs were great. Many different quotes. Exhilarating.

Before the march got under way the local drum group Cakalak Thunder got the crowd fired up playing some great beats. They lead the parade and played all the way during the march through downtown Greensboro. There were an estimated 600 Occupiers, by the police, and we marched through downtown on the sidewalk. Needless to say we owned the sidewalk and got very receptive chants from the folks downtown.
We stopped at the Bank of America and chanted "Wall Street got bailed out, We got sold out". It was great. We then marched to Festival Park and a few people spoke to the crowd to the crowd. We then broke off into small groups of 15 or so and in the group I was in we went around the circle and told everyone why we there and had discussions about that. The group was sort of hijacked by some nice but wackadoo women who always went off topic and brought everything back to her. We finally just started talking over her to get her to shutup. :)

I did advocate that if it seems the government/corporations do not listen to us, the Occupy movement, we should hold a general strike like they do in Europe. It actually seemed to go well.

After that there were more meetings and people just hanging out talking and discussing the state of things. It made for a great day.

Back for more today. Meetings, then the general assembly to see where we take things in Greensboro. There were a number of people there who have been to New York and Washington who seem to have many ideas on how to move forward.

Lots of police, lots. Undercover police also.

Props to our logistics group, they did a fantastic job.

Here is a link to one of the local news stories.

It begins today

Today is the day that the march to a better society begins. The movement is spreading worldwide and there can be no giving this time. It will be slow, sometimes ugly, sometimes cumbersome, sometimes troubling.

It will also be heartwarming, inspiring, life changing and liberating.

WE ARE "FIGHTING THE POWER".

Money sucks

So there was a pretty lively discussion/debate at the General Assembly tonight about whether we should pay the city to rent the park Saturday or not. This is a park they rent out and they usually charge $750.00 to $1000.00 to rent it for a day. It has been negotiated down to $200.00 to have the park from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. The YMCA next is letting the overnight "occupation" stay there for $200.00 for the weekend.

There was no consensus so the debate went on for a hour and a half with no outcome at that point. The initial vote was to not pay. The point being we are there to make a statement and paying the city was going against everything we are attempting to do.

I agree with that point and voted that way.

The other side had the point that we want to include as many people from the outside Saturday, families with kids and tourists, and if they came there was a chance they could get arrested because we would illegally using the park. There were many other points all very valid as well.

I left at 9:30 and still no decision but the tide was turning as I expected.

The group has a feeling of electricity in the air.

Big brother is starting to crack down on the protests. I see some ugly shit getting ready to go down. The man is scared.

Fight the Power.

Leaves are looking good here. Some super reds popping against the green leaves still around.

Lech Walesa

I understand that Lech Walesa is heading to Occupy Wall Street. That will be a very interesting scene. I very well remember the strikes and how amazing they were at that time.

I may not Occupy Sunday as the leaves will be gone from the mountains within a week or so. I hear the colors are good this year.

I could have sworn I smelled gas upstairs this morning.

I am going to write myself in for Alderman in Gibsonville.

Joy

Man, this video makes me smile every time I watch it.

We had an Occupy meeting last night. I left early. The meeting was running late and many split at a break. Seems like there is a lot to do before Saturday.

It is North Carolina A&T's homecoming this weekend. I understand this is the biggest tourist event in Greensboro. This is a huge African American school and it could not be a better weekend for Occupy Greensboro. Since they are the first to feel economic pressures in a failing economy I think we gain a lot of support from them. The history of the sit-ins in Greensboro and other protest movements should keep the police on their best behavior. The city certainly does not want any bad press to come out of this because they over react to the march and occupation.

Go to your Occupy event this weekend even if it is for a short time.
It is all about "We the People".

Clogging

This is the Green Valley Cloggers. I saw them Sunday around noon time. They were great and the band that was playing for them was great. The sound was perfect so you here them clog. The crowd loved it and they got a great response. Very well appreciated by all.

Good vibe at Shakori. We recruited some folks for Occupy Greensboro, sold a lot of stickers and people loved to look at them and smile.

There was a vendor there selling food called the Sugar Shack. They made the most awesome veggie burrito type of things. One of the toppings you could add was this tomato chutney. Freakin yummy.

Perfect weather.

My peppers are still growing. Woo Hoo.

Rice for dinner.

You should be concerned!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What an ignorant twit. The fact that he would actually go public with a statement like like this means he is afraid of "We the People" stepping out and taking our nation back from corporations and the corrupt leaders they have paid for over the years. Cantor and others of his ilk just do not understand that Americans have had enough of being pushed around by big money and the harm they have created.

Be afraid we are taking back America and putting it in the hands of the working class.

Save the Post Office.

Fight The Power.

Gibsonville Fall Fest, Shakori Hills this weekend. Those two events and Occupy Wall Street make me giddy. Now a woman would make me complete,

Change

The time has come and we will make change.
The people are no longer going to be dis-empowered, disenfranchised and most importantly disengaged.

I went to the Occupy Greensboro meeting tonight. 150 people or so. A good variety of people, all ages, races, opinions and passion. Local tv coverage.

Looks like the national Occupy day is going to be October 15th.

Great piece by Glenn Greenwald exposing Erin Burnett and her lack of objectivity as a financial news reporter and her bad mouthing Occupy Wall Street.
http://politics.salon.com/2011/10/05/erin_burnett_voice_of_the_people/singleton/

Doc visit Friday morning. Give me Xanax, Prednisone and sleeping pills. Thank you.
If not I am looking for a pill pushing doc.

It's our country

Nice job my Mr. Policeman for helping the cause. Thank you.

Occupy Greensboro meeting tonight. Think i will be there if I can find the place.

Cable out on and off from 9 p.m. last night. Lost blog post a couple of times already.

Wall Street got bailed out we got sold out.

Hippie Tuesday

Gonna be busy at work today. We are being audited by the GSA. Uggh.

The protests against Wall Street and other injustices seem to be growing.
Is a movement towards a better America going to sweep the nation like the 60's.
Seems like the time has come.

Weather is quite nice. Some leaves slowly changing.
Summer loves this weather. Coffee tastes better when the temp is cold.

Sinuses are plugged.

Time to walk the dog.

Loverly

Lovely weather this weekend.

Cold mornings and perfect afternoons. Sunny and no clouds. Trip to the mountains in two weeks. Leaves should start to bring on the color pretty soon.

The wedding was very nice yesterday. Had a good time.

Raked some Saturday. Want to get rid of all the darn mulch.

Occupy Wall Street is getting bigger. Will it spread nationwide?

Freedom

The big news yesterday was the murder of two U.S. citizens by C.I.A. drones.
Anwar al-Awlaki and Samir Khan were alleged to have been terrorists and working with al Qaeda to kill Americans.

Why do I say murder? They were NEVER charged with any crimes by any entity of the United States government. How is it acceptable to the American public that we kill two Americans who were never charged with a crime. This is a complete violation of any law, both U.S. and international. You do not have to like what they stood for but as American citizens they are still protected by the U.S. Constitution.
There are those minor things like due process and freedom of speech that they should have been afforded.

If President Bush had done this the outrage from the left would have been loud and yet we hear nothing from the left in this instance.

If they can kill U.S. citizens overseas than can do it here. Beware.

We are a sick nation who thrives on domination and death.

Spiders

At least the cable/internet connection is working decently this morning. Maybe the dish network is coming to my house.

Congrats to the Rays for making the playoffs. Walkoff home run in the 12th inning gets them in.

Ha Rick Perry. Nice job of sinking the bottom of the cesspool.

Good job of fighting the power. Occupy wall street. It's growing.

In the forty's this weekend. Frost in the mountains. Leaves will be changing soon.
Time for a day in the mountains.

Peace my friends.

September rain

Damm. We got lots of rain this weekend. Many many outdoor plans were washed away as Mother Nature cleansed her planet of our filthy ways.

How darn funny that Herman Cain won the straw poll in Florida. BAhahahahahahaha.

Had a goat cheese burger for lunch today. Homemade roll, peppers, onion and seasoning.
It was really good. Maybe to gamey tasting for some, but I enjoyed it. It was large and I gave Summer some. She seemed quite happy with it.

Looks like my parents are coming done for Thanksgiving. Means I need to get a couple twin beds for upstairs. Am I supposed to cook?

The grocery store has Ben & Jerry's as a buy one get one free. They as tools of Satan.

This story and video are the continuing of the rights of the everyday citizen being violated in the name of corporate America. Asshole NYPD tactics. Go figure that. Where is the outrage.

Wet

Heavy rain this morning. Gonna be that way on and off all day.

Looks like tomorrow morning is going to be good for yard sales.
Maybe put some shelves up in the garage/guest house/shed.
Really no other plans.

The new Facebook home page sucks.

Sinus problems this morning. All stuffed up.

My work shirt is massively wrinkled.

I am allergic, in a minor way, to soy milk but not soy sauce. Hmmm. I notice a minor anaphylaxis symptom.

That is it for this morning. Have a fantastic Friday.

Shameful Wednesday

The song is not Shameful........

We should be ashamed for the death penalty. We talk about morals and kill in the name of revenge.

We should be ashamed that we will not back the Palestinians for statehood. This is the only thing that will force Israel to get back to the table and really negotiate.

We should be ashamed that I am not famous and married to some hippy hotty.

Will you buy this little book?

American Hollow

Good Ole mountain folk.

Class warfare speaking. This is the American poor. Hard working plain old folk doing what they got to do to earn a living.

The rich should pay their fair share.

Fuck you Time Warner

Some of you may consider this song vile. You have been warned. :0

Mother Fucking Time Warner is really pissing me off. Consistently having issues with my HD channels not being available and the cable barely working and pathetically slow or inoperable download speeds. Not fucking acceptable in any way shape or form. What the fuck year is it? You would think these assholes would be able to provide a decent connection to the internet. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGH!!!

Really did not do much this weekend. Went to the Tate Street Fest with "World Can't Wait", we were selling, err taking donations, for the bumper stickers and buttons we have. $1 per sticker or button. They are all political in nature and go over quite well with the crowds that tend to go to music and art events.

I am going to go now since I can not even get to the info I wanted to look up on the web.

Weekend for hire

Wade was from Weaverville, NC. One of the forefathers of bluegrass. He passed away this week at the tender age of 104. He was 97 when he recorded this interview.

Saw a bunch of birds flying down into a huge chimney tonight. It was sunset and they were heading in for the evening. Swallows maybe, not sure.

Going to work at the Tate Street Fest tomorrow with "World Can't Wait". Will be cool, better than being 90 and humid. local music, art, food and politics. Sounds good to me

Statehood for the Palestinians!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No War!!!!!!!!!!

Wednesday, September 14, 2011

Freedom

This is one of my favorite Gordon Lightfoot songs. Listening to this while twisting and turning up and down the hairpin turns in the mountains. Love it.

So the Palestinians are heading to the UN next week to seek statehood. Of course the United States and Israel will vote no on statehood. If we really are a nation about people being free then we vote yes for statehood for the Palestinians. Do you think all the backing of Israel has anything to do with the Bible? Are we afraid of God's wrath if we do not bow to Israel?

The American Taliban, the Republicans, are going to try and get North Carolinian's to vote for a ban on gay marriage in North Carolina. This would be an amendment to the constitution. Why should this have anything to do with the constitution of a state. Time to rally proper thinking Americans to put this amendment down in flames.

There was a dying dove in the backyard the other day. I gave him/her some sunflowers so there was a chance for a last supper.

Peace mi amigos.

Goof Morning

Well Summer will end temp wise this week. Highs at the end of the week in the 60's.
Time to get a fire pit.

Well of all the weird things. My bell peppers have decided to grow. Yup I have bell peppers coming in now. Very odd.

I already have a couple trees with leaves falling and turning.

Look into Rick Perry and you will find he is a big sleaze.

I think my washing machine is on its way out. The spin cycle is not working so well and everything is much to wet at the end of the wash. Yeah.

Coffee and Summer walk.

United States of Spying

Glenn Greenwald is one of my favorite people in the world. He thinks so clearly.
I wish I had teachers like this when I was young.

We become the United States of Stasi more and more every day.

The true legacy of 9/11 is still being written in our continued lose of civil liberties, the ongoing illegal war in Iraq, the ongoing war in Afghanistan, drone attacks in Pakistan, drone attacks in Yemen, prisons run overseas by the CIA so THEY can avoid U.S. laws, more than 100,000 civilians killed Iraq, Guantanamo, the list goes on..................

We have spent at least 1.2 TRILLION dollars on wartime activities since 9/11.

We have 31 million children living in poverty. How many of them did not eat a real meal on this 9/11?

What is our legacy?

Doobie Doobie Do

When I received this album for Christmas as a 14 year old rock and roll took control and I never looked back. Great way for introduction to tasty guitar licks.

Yard sales buys today. A hand truck for $10, closet maid shelving system for $10, two oil original oil paintings, one of a cardinal and one a blue jay, .50 each. Five albums, International Submarine Band, Gerry and The Pacemakers, and three James Brown albums. All original in excellent shape. $1 each. They will be going on ebay.

Painted the table, finally. Stripped the painted off the legs and they will be painted chrome in the morning.

Took Summer for a long walk. Lovely weather today. House is wide open.

Good day.

3 day work week :)

I think work weeks should be three days. It is much better for the brain.

Did you watch the speech?

Firefox is much faster but keeps giving me issues with Adobe flash.

Lee Roy Selmon passed away this week. He is the only Tampa Bay Buc to be in the NFL Hall of Fame. For the 20 years I was in Tampa Lee Roy was very involved in the community and was a great asset to the Tampa Bay area. Seemed to be what one hopes your community leaders to be like. He was 56. You will be missed.

Yard sale Saturday morning before working in the yard. Trim bushes and trees. Rake and rake and nap.

Goodnight.

Nonsense

I like this odd little song.

The republican debate was a joke. No substance as usual.

My mom is in Florida for an undetermined period of time. My grandmother is very weak and mom needed to get a better picture of the situation for herself.

NFL starts tonight. Packers vs. Saints. Should be a good game.

Rick Perry says Social Security is a Ponzi scheme. What a douche. Talk about not knowing how the other half lives. Fuck off dude.

Time for a shower, feed Summer and trim my beard.

The Grind

Uggh. Back to work today. Short uneventful vacation.
Really need a career change. A new American picker?????????

Barely ant rain from Lee hit Gibsonville. A quick downpour Monday and a decent, but short, downpour yesterday. That is it. Did not have to to far west to find more rain.

Temps nice for dog walking this morning.

Foggy out today.

Have some pictures to post. I'll start putting them up tomorrow.

Have a nice hump.

The oven is on!!!!!!!

Holy crap. Mother nature turned the oven on yesterday and she left it on. The last few days have been brutally hot. UGGH.

Went to the flea market in Hillsville, Va. yesterday. I spent a total of $17.00.
Bought two soda bottles, 2 old regular pictures, one tin type and two old cameras.
One camera was a Polaroid. i bought because it is white. Then I bought a Brownie
six -20 because it had the flash system with a bulb. I see the cameras all the time. Never see the flash system.

It was too damm hot and I left after about an hour and a half.

Today I vac'd. Took Summer for a car ride and a walk. Really did not do much else except fart around.

Tomorrow I am heading to Asheville for the day. There is a street fest going on which I will attend with my camera. Buy me some art, listen to music, feed my fat ass and then head back home.

Looks like rain on Monday and Tuesday so I'll work around the house and shop for a rug for the living room.

NO WAR!!!

Passage of Time

Late post for today.

Four years ago today my grandfather passed away.
Today my grandmother is in the hospital. She had a mini stroke, but that seems not really to be an issue. It seems she has a clogged artery. No decision on what will be done about that.

I will have five days off after tomorrow. I need these days off very badly.
Work is starting to get under my skin. Hillsville antique flea market on Friday. This is a big one. Around 2000 - 2500 dealers. Maybe I'll buy something, maybe not.

Other days not really firmed up yet. Maybe Asheville, maybe Autumns, maybe Boone.

Going to be setting up a table with "World Can't Wait" at the Grassroots Festival at Shakori Hills. Get some new activists to join.

Does Dick Cheney look like a vampire?

Hump this

My parents still have no power. Must be a bunch of fun.

Really the pubic cans are going for Rick Perry. Ba ha ha. We are a dumb nation.

Tomorrow is my Friday. Woo Hoo.

Have to iron. My shirts is about 10 thousands wrinkles.

The weather is gtting very nice. Time to be working outside.

Time to walk Summer. Bye.

Monday, August 29, 2011

Crazy

So crazy man Dick Cheney is out with his book to help confirm he is one crazy sob. The fact that he was one of the leaders of our country is a damm scary thing. War criminal Cheney. We are at war ten years later because your are a sick sick human being.

My parents and much of CT. do not have power. They do have a generator.
They understand they will be without power 4 - 7 days.

Seems my grandmother had a mini stroke. She is still in the hospital getting tests.

I took Summer out to a few rivers yesterday so she could play in the water.
I also took for a few long long walks between swims. She had a blast and was totally spent last night.

I also had an amazing BLT at the Saxapahaw General Store. This gas station, convenience store, restaurant has amazingly great food. A hidden treasure of food greatness.

I have a headache. Adios.

Oh my GOD!!! The World is Ending

This is Almira Fawn singing a cover of JJ Grey's "The Sun is Shining Down".
She was 11 when she sang this. Crazy mad talent at that age. Wow.

Ok tv freaks. Enough of the hurricane coverage. I want to puke. You could make the end of the world seem old and tired. If mother nature had a sense of humor she would give the east coast a 5.2 earthquake right now to send the tv folks into an orgasmic overload.

I like my new vacuum cleaner. Summer does not.

Thank Mother Nature this is going to be a four day work week. I am working on burnout overload and am about ready to fucking snap. I need drugs to calm the fuck down.

I won three dollars in lotto. I can retire for two minutes.

The agenda for today. Walk dog, wash clothes, buy bird food, clean windshield, use leaf blower on patio, paint a table. Shoot pictures and screw off.

Here is a video for Ken. Think you might like this one.

Hippy Sunday mi amigos.

Wednesday, August 24, 2011

That was wierd

Well I felt the earthquake as did everyone in my office. I actually got dizzy for a couple seconds. Very odd sensation for sure. Going through a major one would be very disturbing.

Hurricane next?????

Coffee now.

Bye.

Jamming

A nice little tune from Frank Marino. Why is he not more famous??????

lovely weather this morning. Nice for a walk.

All is quiet in my world otherwise. Ready for a few days off over Labor Day weekend.

Time to laundry off the line and the hit the shower.

Have a nice day my friends.

Monday, August 22, 2011

Why???

Another weekend over. UUGGH.

Went gem mining Saturday. Cheap good fun. You get to "mine" in a stream.
So I sat in a stream for hours and found some pretty cool stones. It is the only emerald mine in the U.S. open to the public. worth doing. My back might say differently.

Did not do much of anything yesterday. Finall bought my vacuum. Hope it works well. Dryer is the next big purchase.

Going to pull my stuff out of the gallery and put it in Autumn's gallery.
I think it will do better there. Time to get more prints done.

Summer gets a bath tonight.

Friday, August 19, 2011

Late for the Post

Thankfully this week is over. Brutal week at work.

Going to meet Autumn and some other people tomorrow in Hiddenite to go gem mining. Hiddenite has some emeralds and other gems to find in the creeks in the area. Should be fun.

Keep speaking Rick Perry, the fool keeps coming out.

It is great the West Memphis Three are free but they got a real shit deal.

Christine O'Donell maybe crazy but I think she's hot.

Have a happy.

Tuesday, August 16, 2011

I need the winning Lotto numbers...................NOW

I need a brain recharge.

My neighbor brought me a ton of maters, garlic, basil fresh from his garden.

Actually I nned Xanax, a few beers and good f.

Good thing Libya was going to be a quick fix.

Time for the Daily Show then sllepy time.

Monday, August 15, 2011

OHHH Yeah

Is the guy gay? Holy crap dude. Just come out of the closet, now.

Wow oh wow. The weather made a massive change yesterday. Low 80's today and little humidity. 62 is the low tonight and there is a nice little breeze. House is opened up. I could sleep outside in this weather.

I want to see this movie.

Hope your Monday was groovy.

Sunday, August 14, 2011

Frogman

Here is the original.

If you have cable watch CNN at 8p.m. tonight. They have a one hour show called the "Battle for Blair Mountain". This is the key battle in the fight against mountaintop removal coal mining. It will be interesting to see how they frame the debate.

The walls are all painted except for the tv wall that juts out. That section and the bookcase will be different form the other walls and different from one another. TV wall yellow. TV cutout ultra white.
Bookcase????

Today will be laundry, grocery shopping, dusting and screwing around.

Time for a flea market run.

Saturday, August 13, 2011

Aint got no home

Well of course I do, but I never knew The Band covered this song. One of my favorite bands doing a killer cover. Heard this on Sirius this morning.

Talked to a small farmer today and this has been a tough season overall.
There have been problems with plants flowering and not producing food.
Even peppers have been hit or miss. She has been doing it for 20 years here so she knows what she is doing.

Paint.....................................

Wow, it's Friday

Went to my meeting last night and it was pre-empted by a concert by the guy in this video. Solo acoustic show. He writes fantastic songs very much in the vain of mid 60's Bob Dylan. Excellent surprise for the evening.

Thank mother nature this week is over. Feel like I was run over by a steam roller. Too many bitchy customers that live in some world I do not know.

Should finish painting the living room this weekend.

That's about it. No energy to complain about anything and too tired to find anything cheery for breakfast.

Adios. Have a freaky Friday.

London

Wanna go to London?

Poor angry unemployed youth tearing apart a city. Think this could happen here.. Most likely not. Unless you can bring your Xbox and couch with you.
Not justifying the riots but as the gap between rich and poor becomes greater the chance of riots becomes greater of these type of events happening here.

Rick Perry running for President, spare us your God driven politics please.

Cool weather or less humidity coming. Yea.

Gotta walk Summer. She is giving me the evil eye.

Have a happy.....................

Fuck You Fucking Fucks.....................Thank You

Enough is enough. We the Corporate Police States of America need to get the country back for the common working man.

Our paychecks are stagnant, costs of living is on a continual upward trend, our retirement savings are shrinking, we have NO leadership coming from our President, NO leadership from our congressman and senators, corporations getting more and more rights as living breathing human beings lose theirs. Shall I go on.

Why is it that corporations are making record profits and fail to give out raises? Do they not understand they could actually make more if we had larger paychecks. Why do they care more about their stockholders than they do about helping grow the economy.

Michelle Bachman and now it seems Rick Perry are going to be the two leading candidates for the Republinazis, sorry Mitt. Their religious attitudes are akin to the American Taliban. Separation of Church and State, mother*uckers. These are the leaders of our country. No wonder we are doomed to failure.

Abortion laws becoming more restrictive, the continuing failure of our three wars are getting our soldiers killed for ............

Do you like the picture with the middle fingers. I got those Sunday at the flea market. How could I not get them.

Watch the movie as you have time. This is coming to America. Time to push back and stand up for what is right for us as human beings.

Coming Apart

When I was walking Summer this morning I found a $10 bill folded up on the side of the road.

Painted one living room wall its first coat today. Looks good. My knees kill me after standing and painting.

Did the world collapse yet?

So I drove to the gallery yesterday and they we closed. Vacation.
So I went to Haps for a burger. Haps is a teenie teenie place that is just a grill and a counter. You ordr and go outside or to your car to eat.
They only sell burgers and hot dogs. You can get them with cheese, chili, onions and ketchup or mustard. Soda in bottles. I got a chili cheeseburger with onions. Very tasty and hot off the grill.

Very tired lately and have no energy.

Time to eat dinner and clean the bathroom.

Don't Worry

Enjoy the video my friends. Enjoy the power of music and peace.

I guess I should head down to the gallery Saturday and see what I have sold.
I think it is time to pull the work out and bring it someplace else to see what happens at another gallery.

I think my master cylinder is starting to go. Losing break fluid.

Found a baby rabbit hanging out in the garden today. Teenie and cute.

That is it for today.

Have a good Thursday my friends.

Another Day

They donated their hair to kids with cancer.

I ripped up my eggplant and zucchini plants since they were flowering but not producing veggies. Getting lots of maters and some peppers.
Maybe I'll plant some flowers and have some color for the fall.

My printer works great. A sweet $10 yard sale deal. Time to print some pictures.

Anybody need some dog hair? :)

A friend of my parents who lives in Texas had massive flooding this spring and now massive drought. His lake it completely gone away.

Sometimes when I call Summer I call her Bummer to see if she comes.
She does, sometimes. Then I laugh like a fool, all the time.

Lots of odd dreams lately.

I need energy. Am I missing some health clue?

The fair season will be starting soon. I will go to some.

President No Balls Ma

Wow, did the President cave in AGAIN. What a great Republican he is.
Where the hell are your principles and core values you claim to have.
Another step to the "Fall of the American Empire".
We need a credible third party now. It shall be called "The Keg Party".
Time to get up and march on Washington and let the leaders know they are a poor example of what our country is supposed to be.

While Obama may be get elected next year he has lost ALL the youth vote he picked up in 2008. They simply will not vote this time. He keeps on losing the progressives and the left wing of the party. If the Republicans put up a credible candidate he would not win a second term. Wanna bet Jeb Bush would win if he ran. If he does not run now look for him in 2016. The cards are in play.

It makes me sick to see all this going on.

Howard Dean should challenge Obama, maybe Ed Rendell.

Uggghhhhhh.

The next thing is a balanced budget amendment to the Constitution. Really.

We are doomed.

Dog Washing

I quite like this song. Heard him on NPR this morning. Welcome Tim, I like your stuff.

I gave Summer a bath this morning. She seems to like it ok. Does not fight the water at all. Of course mid bath does require a shake so I have to get wet also. Then a quick walk to rid some of the excess water from her.
Now she pants before her nap.

Woke up with a headache. Sinus headache?

Have someone coming by to see about getting power for a dryer. Drying clothes outside is a pain. There is actual planning on doing laundry depending on rain. Yea, that works well for me.

Has the gov't collapsed yet? Have Obuma and Boner kissed and made up?
Yawn............

Weight --- 231.4 My guts growls.

We are doomed.

More we are doomed.

Can I sh*t without having to let the world know? Really can I?
Privacy, WTF is that anymore.
I predict that more and more people will go off the grid as this continues.
Really wtf is this all about.
LETS FEAR EVERYTHING..............................

Mother Trucker

I love the jamming on this tune. One of my fave Dead tunes.

So I watched "Inside Job" the other night. It is the documentary about the financial collapse. Very interesting to see that so many of the criminals who were involved in the whole criminal mess are part of the Obama administration. Why have none of these people gone to jail?
If we had done the same we would in jail.

Debt limit politics is making me so proud to be an American. We have no leadership in any house in Washington. Is this what we have come to as a country. They all need to smoke a joint or six.

Really got nothing else today.

Deer Summer

Mike and I saw these guys back in the late 80's in Ct. and then once in Tampa. They were a fun band to see.

Summer saw her first deer on Sunday. I took her for a ride and stopped at big soccer field to walk her around. I saw three deer on the other side of a fence. A doe was watching us. Summer finally saw them and wanted to go run after them. They bolted and Summer wanted to go after them. Crazy old girl.

I am going to paint most of the living room walls yellow and the wall behind the couch will be green. I think I may paint the bookshelves green also. The ceiling will be white and there is plenty of white trim. Then I need to decide how to cover the windows and doors so I can block the views from the outside. The walls will then be able to decorated with pictures, art and other things to occupy your mind.

I have two days of my five days of vacation left. I think I am going to take them both Labor Day weekend. I need some time off. Getting burnt out.

Is it Friday yet??????????????????????????????????

Nothing

The picture is of my porch/gazebo and reading hangout. More color and hippie features coming soon. Picture from the Droid. Sorry it is a little hazy.

Song from the French artist "Edith Piaf". Check the movie "La Vie En Rose". I think you will enjoy it.

Congratulations to Cadel Evans on winning the Tour de France. Well done and well deserved.

Time to take a shower and head to the store for milk, bread, yogurt and cheese.

Have to sand a gas line and paint it with Rustoleum and clean the gutter today.

Shit it have to turn the sprinkler off. Its been on over an hour.  Later.

Why do we have 1000 military bases around the world????????????  Paranoia

Hoturday

Gonna be 98 today and humid as all get out.

Bought two things at yard sales today. Book---Excel for Dummies, $2.00. Brand new still packaged Cannon Pixma IP 1600 printer, $10. Needed a printer and a brand new one for 10 bucks fits my budget for now.
Mainly a picture printer. Nothing fancy with this one.

Laundry in the washer.
Bird feeders full.
New filter in the air handler.
Summer walked.

Time to suck up dog hair and do dishes.

Maybe a nap and a trip to the store for a finer brush for summer.

Finish Albert Brooks and then.....................

Enjoy your Saturday.

Picture from my Droid of the shelves in part of the bookcase. My camera collection with my photos.

A lovely little song from the Kinks.

Hot as heck and humid as heck.

Insanely busy at work today. Too busy to work effectively. AAARRGGGHHHH.

Why do we give so much support to Israel?

Thanks Ken, Alberts Brooks book has a ring of truth I hope we don't see.

Yard sales Saturday morning. Maybe a dog roadtrip. Paint a table. Ride my bike. Nap, twice.

Hi Tammy.
