Summer has begun

The summer has begun for the year 2011.

Had an excellent weekend with Mr and Mrs. Carta. Food, drink and conversation. Relaxing and enjoyable as holiday weekends should be.
Farmers market, bloody mary's, rum drinks, Asheville, Mount Mitchell and a black bear and metal objects on the railroad tracks. The way holiday weekends should be.

Temps cranked up a notch. 95 here yesterday and it seems we may break records the next couple of days.

Song by Carly Simon. Not the song I was looking for but I like this song and Carly looks quite sexy here> Notice George Harrison and Art Garfunkel talking in the beginning of the video.

Celebrate

A great song by the Kinks.

Mike and Tammy will be here late tonight. No actual plans but some drink and food for the weekend. Tomorrow the farmers market is on the list of things to do. Maybe Sunday a trip to the Blue Ridge will be in order or someplace up in the mountains. Pack a lunch and roam around the peaks and valleys of Western North Carolina.

Looks more and more like Sarah is running for President. Please let the comedy act begin.

Brain foggy this morning. Can't think of anything to write or rant about.
Have a happy Friday.

Time to shave or should I say trim the beard.

Lovely weekend

The weekend weather was very nice. Warm and sunny and very little humidity.

I have a few of the bird houses with little babies chirping away all day waiting for food.

Finished all the raking, finally. Some trimming to do then the outside will at a decent level to keep things at an acceptable level.
I want this all done before it is hot everyday.

Time to take the wrinkles out my shirt of the day. See you later.

How odd

God sure does has a fine sense of humor. Unless my eyes deceive me the day after the rapture seems like any other day. What's up with that? Is it all part of the master plan?

Well here is a heavy metal classic turned into a killer bluegrass song.
damm this makes me smile. These guys did an amazing version.

I put a bb on the ass of a chipmunk yesterday. He seemed not to enjoy it a whole bunch. The piece of crap Daisy has no real power so it stunned the little bastard a whole bunch and a jumped around a whole bunch. hopefully he has packed up his family and moved to the woods or the house next door.
Adios cute little hellions.

Had wicked stomach cramps last night, at 2 in the morning. After I got off the porcelain throne, with sweat pouring off me like I was swimming, I thought I was going to pass out. I actually laid down on the bathroom floor for several minutes and let that wave pass. Stomach still not great this morning.

So I took my laundry off the clothesline last night and what the hell.
White shirt covered in red from berries and also a fair amount of bird crap. I had to laugh. Where is my financial windfall. I need a dryer.

Hello to the new world. My God or Allah or Buddha or Zeus or Aphrodite or Mother Earth bless the day after this latest rapture.

Love your enemies as you love yourself.

It no Matter

It no matter man. Bob say it be so. Maybe this should be our National Anthem.

Hit the snooze 4 times this morning. I feel great.

I miss the ocean.

Adios...... Have a lovely day earthlings.

The Hell with it

Here is the good pastor Dr. Gene Scott. I remember watching late night tv in 80's and watching this guy. He would have the craziest money raising events for his church. Yelling and berating people to give him money. his sermons were also fascinating. The good Dr. was often harassed by the government, he made lots of money for his church, lived quite nicely, smoked cigars, swore and loved beautiful women and paraded them on stage. He was very interesting to watch. I thought you might be interested with the rapture coming
Saturday.

What should I do Friday night before the rapture on Saturday? Suggestions please.

Is it fall

Wow, 48 this morning. Gonna be 88 Saturday. Pollen still crazy. Very odd weather. What next.

Gotta plant the plants I picked up Saturday in the ground. Hopefully things dry out a bit today.

That's it this morning. Enjoy.

Hammered

Although it took all day to get here we got hammered with rain last evening and last night. I bet we got close to two inches. Crazy massive downpours.

I see that Arnold fathered a kid with one of his maids while he was the Govenator. Very nice Arnold.

Thank you Japan for not telling us the complete truth about your nuclear meltdown. Funny how it slowly trickles out so it never makes a big splash in the news. Assholes.

Why are we doing nothing in Syria. We should be ashamed of ourselves.

BTW, the picture yesterday was of a place that used to be a thrift store. It was closed for several years. It is now owned by a art collaborative and they have not sold a thing in the store. They run it as a museum and art space.

Peace my friends.

Good Monday

Lots of rain on and off this weekend. Not a bunch of sun. 59 this morning.
Have plants to go in the ground weather permitting.

Did you hear that Disney patented the term " Seal Team Six"? Is that for a new ride?

Did you know that Monsanto know will be shoving Roundup ready alfalfa down farmer throats like they did with corn. More chemically altered foods for humans and animals. All with approval from the Obama administration. Welcome to the United States of Corporations.

Picture is taken through the window of the Elsewhere Collaborative in Greensboro.

Back and Running with Diamonds and Rust

Ok, I am back up and running again. My keyboard decided to take a dirt nap so I had to go and purchase a $16.99 special at Staples.

We do nothing in Syria, Yemen and Bahrain as its citizens get killed while we are doing something in Libya. Not sure what the hell it is we are doing except screwing around and making some attempts to kill the Kernel. Yea I know I spelled it wrong. How the hell is Colonel the same as Kernel. I fail to see how the words are pronounced the same.

Lets keep on cutting more teachers jobs. The more stupid and ignorant people we have the more control the government has over us. You know that is part of the master plan

Tim Geithner seems untrustworthy and what the hell is he hiding in that odd haircut.

Enjoy both these versions of Diamonds and Rust. They are both very good.

Running late

Running late this morning. Just got up.

Have a happpy day.

Ponder

So we got Osama last but here is a point to ponder. Why did they kill him? He could have easily been taken alive. Seems it would have yielded more info if they had him in custody.

The other thing is the fact we went into a country we are technically not at war with and violated their sovereignty. Put aside your feelings and think about it. What if a team of soldiers from Iraq came here and did the same thing with our President. Is there really a diiference?

Do you use Pandora? It is a great streaming music service. You basically build your own radio station.

Severe storms possible with wind and hail.

Projects

This weeks project is to refinish the kitchen table and put that together, trim some bushes and rake more leaves. Some of this will be weather permitting. Looks like some rain Tuesday and Wednesday.

Started riding my bike this weekend.

Still need to get a lawn mower. Going to start more plants from seed this week. Think I will also buy some that are already going.

Please listen to Grace Lee Boggs. We could learn a whole bunch as a nation.

Wake the FUCK UP

Well Metallica kicks a little ass here. Kick ass job.

My computer at worked more or less crashed the other day so I have had to use another computer for two days. Wow, what a hassle when I can not access the documents I use everyday. Hopefully they can recover the stuff.

I think I am moving my bedroom downstairs to the front room.

Spring Fling and gospel fest in town tomorrow.

Tired this morning. Time to run.

Starting to ride my bike this weekend. My gut is way too large.

Flashback Thursday

Thank you 1970's.

No war, no torture. Try it sometime

Goodbye

Well I am done to four plants out of 24. Not sure what to do. Pepper spray, my urine and a bb gun or maybe a fence with a security guard.

Massive weather change change. In the 80's yesterday, 50 this morning. Lots of rain last night.

Now I see that water boarding and such techniques are being justified because Bin Laden was killed. Such things are NEVER justified. No matter what they are human beings and as leaders of the free world we are alleged to be better than they are. It is time we act like it.

Have a hump today.

Little Rat Bastards

I thought the chipmunk was gone but there are now four of them. Mom, Dad and two little shits. They are eating the plants in my garden. I bought a live trap to catch them. If thats does not work they may go meet Osama and his virgins..

Insane day at work yesterday. Business is good. Thanks criminals.

Slept like crap.

Why would they not show the body of Osama. They did show us Saddam. Very odd choice after all the country has gone through. Not that I want to see the body. But it seems odd since we operate that way these days as a country.

Rock n Roll your Tuesday with the Dead.

BFD

Osama is dead. After thousands of lives and billions of dollars I do not feel any glee or happiness.
Sorry if that upsets some folk but I do not see this changing one thing in the world in any way shape or form.

Obama just does not matter any more and has not mattered for years. He was just a symbol of war and he has caused America to become a fearful nation and a nation that has trampled on the rights of its own citizens.

Will we get rid of the Patriot Act, close Gitmo, free Bradley Manning, let me where my shoes through the airport, stop spying on Americans phone conversations, lower gas prices, cause the Democrats and Republicans to work together and give me back all the rights I had taken away under the cover of national security. NO.

So goodbye Osama, you gave the fear mongering leaders reasons to take away many of my rights, but you have not been relevant for many years.

NO WAR....................................
