Um, yeah.....................................

Something old and what viral can do for you.

Of course I love this version of "Into the Mystic". Seems like a good song for the end of 2013.

Crazy how viral things can go. "What does the fox say" is a great video. Fun, nonsensical and a great beat.

Ikea Heights is just starting to go viral. These were actually done in 2009 and now it seems to web has found them. Cool little series filmed in an Ikea, without Ikea's permission. Watch the people in the background for their reactions.

2013 was, for me, a crappy year. I say good riddance.

Onward and upward in 2014.

Settle down cry babies

Nice version by Mr. Grohl.

Yes it was frustrating that UPS and FedEx were unable to get all packages delivered on time, I had two that were late, but it is not the end of the world. I guess having a year to figure out what to get as a gift is not enough time. If you had any idea how many packages that Amazon ships and UPS delivers on an average day then looked at the numbers in December maybe you understand, but likely not. Shut the hell up and be a fucking adult. You make me sick.

Merry Christmas Eve

May your Christmas Eve be filled with smiles and the love of your family and friends.

Internet Christmas

Love this version.

Well all my Christmas shopping is done, thanks to my couch and the internet. It is actually a great way to get things you would have never found for the most part.

Had the transmission serviced yesterday. Hopefully that takes care of the shifting problem.

Going to be close to 70 today and over 70 tomorrow. Very odd.

I gave Summer a super grooming yesterday and combed enough hair for a sweater. Well a small sweater.

Think I'll do some leave blowing today.

Happy solstice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rocking out

Been in a Zeppelin mood lately.
I sort of remember seeing this at the Old Saybrook theater at a midnight showing.

Work has been brutal lately. Way way too much going on and the stress blows.

Weird weather, cold and rainy, the warm, the cold and more rain. No snow or ice.

If you have Netflix watch the series Lillyhammer.

Nice puff piece by CBS on the NSA. Pathetic.

My knee almost gave out on the treadmill yesterday. Had to stop exercising. So sad.

Summer is on the shit list.

My transmission is slipping.

Bad blogger

Wow, I have been lazy in my blogging. Must have been on holiday.

Iceland police shot a suspect and killed him yesterday. It was the first time in their history.

Ebay good. Another couple hundred in sales. Big camera lot going on tonight.

Days off great. Work days, boo.

Tammy and Mike sold their house. It was on the market less than 24 hours before they had an offer.

Winter

This album should get a nomination for album of the year.

Camera and lens on ebay. Check them out.

Well winter is here for now. 23 this morning and maybe freezing rain for breakfast.

Lost 6 pounds in the last week.

Friday, November 22, 2013

The season begins

Gibsonville has the lighting of the tree on the green tonight and the business's in town have snacks for everyone. Kind of fun and neat.

Sold the two models on Ebay for $131.00, cost $20.

Work sucks.

50 years ago today the world changed. Gotta wonder where we would be today if Kennedy has not been murdered.

Afghanistan for another 10 years. WTF.

Monday, November 18, 2013

Abe Vigoda

Watch the video to the end.

I did it. I joined a gym. I need to get down to 200 lbs and diet alone ain't working. I am sure I can go for 10 minutes before death sets in.

72 degrees today. 24 for a low last week. Snow coming soon?

I may head over to Asheville Saturday. It is their Christmas parade. I suspect it will be a little different than most parades.

Cameras going on Ebay soon.

Back to the blog

So I bought a Lenovo laptop. It would be great except it has Windows 8 which is a piece of crap. Who the fuck came up with this system, an infiltrator from Apple?

I found out the new healthcare plan on Monday. Sounds shitty from the prelim news so far.

Sold the old binoculars on ebay for $138.50. Sold two of the three items I have listed so far.
Need a 1962 Yankees pennant?

Some of my old friends from my college days found me, through the web, the other day. Great to get back in touch with them. We were thick as thieves. Can't wait till we get to see each other again.

Off to Food Lion for some food for me fat self.

Get off your couch

The revolution needs to start now. Watch out for the ordaining of Chris Christie after he wins big today.
He is not what the press makes him out to be. All you need to do is look at his record.

http://occupywallst.org/

We want the public option.

We want a decent interest rate on our checking and savings accounts.

We want white collar criminals to go to jail and not just pay fines. Their crimes affect far more people than the common criminal.

We want peace, not war.

We do not need to be the world's policeman.

no title

Seems the Affordable Care Act is becoming a big problem. Too many people are going to be paying more.

My back is quite stiff this morning. I aldo have a headache. A sinus headache. Gonna buy a humidifier for the winter.

Had a goat burger yesterday. Yummy. Very yummy.

Have you been reading about Rob Ford the mayor of Toronto. What a piece of work this guy is.

Bye, coffee time.

Thursday, October 31, 2013

Boo

Trick or Treat smell my feet give me something good to eat.

Monday, October 28, 2013

Rock me

Lou Reed was what rock n roll is. Kind of crazy to imagine he was a year older than my parents. Were they really from the same generation?

Sold a set of baseball cards on Ebay for $260.00. Good sale. Money to be used to pay bills. Hopefully the old military binoculars will sell. Yankees pennant going up for sale today.

Weird World Series.

Mowed the lawn yesterday, moved around some leaves.

Could not get Summer in the truck so no grooming on Saturday. Mobile groomer is the next plan.

Have a Monday.

Wednesday, October 23, 2013

Smoke it

Legalize it..............

Red Sox or Cardinals for the World Series?

Some cold weather coming in. Might be snow in parts of the mountains of NC sometime in the next few days. Hell, I might need to turn the heat on in a day or so.

Time for an english muffin.

Monday, October 21, 2013

I need a band aid

This video makes me happy......................................

So as of right now there is a potential that our health care costs are going to rise 44%. WTF is that all about. Sounds like some profit taking by United Healthcare. What bullshit.

Nice job getting the Affordable Healthcare website up and running. You would have figured three years would have been enough time to get it beta tested and running. Pathetic is being much to kind.

Only had 265 emails when I went back to work today. I figured I would have close to 400. All good.

Friday, October 18, 2013

Snotty

Well I am still spewing loads of snot this morning. Not 100% better but about 90%.

Have not done a whole bunch, no money.

Painted the fireplace mantel yesterday.

Lamest vacation, ever.

Monday, October 14, 2013

This sums it all up

So I am on vacation and I feel like shit.

Saturday is no sun and light rain and do not feel great, Sunday is no sun and light rain with a sore throat and Monday is no sun, sore throat and stuffy sinus with more freaking rain.

What did I do to deserve this.

Oh yeah, Summer has crapped in the house three of the last four days.

AAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHH.......

Tuesday, October 8, 2013

a real vacation

Want to go hide?

Maybe some of our leaders should disappear themselves. They have already disappeared as leaders of the country.

Maybe I'll be taking a roadtrip this weekend. Leaves should be good in the mountains.

Have a Tuesday.

Friday, October 4, 2013

Where is she?

Please call me dear. I need to see you............

Wednesday, October 2, 2013

It's alive

The truck is back and looking good. Only took a month.

Tuesday, October 1, 2013

Wake the *uck up

We are a weak nation, with horrible leaders.

Goodbye Mr. White

The closing song for Breaking Bad. Great choice for an ending song to the baddest show ever to be on television.
If you have not seen it I urge you to go and binge watch it from Netflix. You will not be disappointed.

Finally getting the truck back today. I imagine it will look brand new, like it already did.

Ready for the government shutdown. Pathetic leadership from pathetic leaders. We need to get rid of them all.
We the people do not count.

Here is another song from Breaking Bad. It fit insanely well into the scene where they played this.

Peace my friends

Friday, September 27, 2013

it's almost here

Going to head towards the mountains tomorrow.

Hopefully I'll have the truck back today. Was supposed to be ready this past Wednesday.

Seems the computer or actually firefox is working right again. Everything was typing backwards for a couple days and I was using Chrome, which I did not like.

Should be a great weather day for a roadtrip.

adios

Monday, September 23, 2013

Ummmmmmm

Yea ok, not blogging lately.

Bored with work, more like hating work. Life has been a drag. Way deep into the rut of work and life.
Time for something to change. Feeling like a new job in a new city is in order.

Weather has been awesome. Summer has slept outside all night a few times.

Hopefully I will have the truck back this week.

Vacation October 14th.

Tired. Time to take a nap for a few hours.

Tuesday, September 17, 2013

Yup

Another mass shooting in America. Yup, we are stupid to continue to accept this and make no real attempts to fix this problem.

You're in our thoughts and prayers rings very hollow at this point.

A country born, bred and a continuing practitioner of violence will die of violence.

Cool Breeze

It's 53 this morning. Slept like a baby, a fat baby and had crazy dreams all night.

Had part of a filling fall out yesterday. Lovely.

Going to the Home Show today so I can see the things I can't afford to buy for my house. I'll take pictures of those things. Maybe I should start scrapbooking so when I get some money I'll be able to put those things in my house. I sure as hell won't remember them all.

Time to start prepping the yard for the spring. Want to get more sun and flowers in the yard.
I should rent a rototiller and tear things up.

Got a pile of things to put on Ebay. Sales starting this week.

Peace out.

Friday, September 13, 2013

Uggh

Wow, did I ever fuck up a bid at work. I cost us a bid for a 3 year $288,000.00 contract.
My bad streak of life and luck continues. I desperately need a streak of good luck to come my way. Can it start on Friday the 13th.

Oh yeah, my computer is also giving me problems. I think it has a virus that i can not seem to get rid of.

I need to take my week of vacation very soon.

I think it is time to look for a new job and move on.

I dread going to work and talking to my boss.

Wish me luck.

It makes me wonder

So the anti-war sentiment seems pretty strong. Wonder how much is actually anti-Obama sentiment?

The argument about the red line seems dubious when we have used Napalm, Agent Orange, White phosphorus and of course nuclear bombs so we really have no moral high ground, but we do have a better propaganda machine.

Going to a "No War" rally downtown tomorrow after work.

I was watching a little bit of the "America's Cup" races today. The boats, well they still call the boats, were amazingly fast. It is crazy how they can raise upon those foils and just scream across the water. Check it out if you get a chance.

Sunday is "Breaking Bad". Nuff said.

Gordon makes me want to go.

Thursday, September 5, 2013

Crash

Well crashing my truck into another car was such fun. Not a better way to start the day except maybe by falling off a ladder.

So I get a rental car as part of my insurance policy. I am driving a Chevy Impala. I must say this is not a car I would ever buy. Horrible to get in and out of. No headroom. The blind spots are fantastic.

Killing people for killing people. Hmmm. Killing is business and business is good.

Wednesday, September 4, 2013

scrambled

I like how the media is driving the drumbeat for war.

Going to get my hair cut today.

Fire trucks are going by.

Should I move?

Sunday, September 1, 2013

Rocking out

This song is much better than Whitesnake's song of the same name. Loved those hair metal days of 80's and early 90's.

Going to see this show tomorrow in Graham. Seems pretty cool. It is free. Why not.

Happy Non Labor Day Weekend.

Friday, August 30, 2013

Beach

Heading down to Atlantic Beach, NC for the day tomorrow.
I am sure there won't be many people there so I'll have the beach to myself.

Labor Day weekend and the summer is over. It's already dark at 8 p.m., boo.

So two of the cats are now following me and Summer when we go for a walk. I am the Pied Piper.

The Dems wanting to bomb Syria are fucking hypocrites. How did they become the Neocons. Losers is what they are. We accomplish nothing by bombing Syria. What the hell is wrong with this country?

Practice Peace. In  the week on MLK's march we show we have learned nothing. MLK would be disgusted.

No War

What the fuck are we doing in Syria?

Tuesday, August 27, 2013

Split Lip Rayfield

Spend some time and watch this. Great doc about an ultimately sad event.

These guys rocked.

Monday, August 26, 2013

Hello

Wow, was the weather perfect this weekend. It was here in NC.

This coming weekend is Labor Day weekend. Where has the summer gone?

The three adult cats followed Summer and me when we went for walk yesterday. Meowing the whole time.

The California fires are crazy.

Coffee is good

The Voice

Amazing to hear Dems trash talk Glenn Grenwald when they would be cheering him if Bush was still President.

Ever wonder what files you are in because you do not join the masses in believing U.S. government propaganda.

Short Doc Monday

Mistreated Minds from Brian Cohen on Vimeo.

Another symptom of American medical care or more accurately, lack thereof.

Egypt, this is what you get when countries try to control people of another country. Egypt has been at the mercy of outside forces for centuries. Now the forces are religious zealots and guns from America. No winners.

Fallweather

Today $3.39.

Today was totally fall weather. Maybe 80 degrees. Very low humidity. About perfect. Better if I was off work.

Still here in our heart, memories and daily grooves

Wow, it's been 18 years since Jerry left us at the age of 53. Seems like he is still here in so many ways.

Peace brother.

Sleep

Cool tune from a killer tour.

Not sleeping good lately. It sucks.

I need a vacation very soon. No money to go anyplace. Time for some Ebay sales. I would like to head to Florida or a beach some place.

The kittens have been missing since the rain overnight Monday.

Got my raise.

Thursday, August 1, 2013

Happy birthday Jerry

Jerry would be 71 today. A true American treasure.

More rain

Because we do not have enuff skeeters we are going to have more rain today.

What are the implications of the Bradley Manning case?

The Devil Rays are looking pretty good and heading towards a World Series run.

Got a raise?

Feelin' Groovy

So I had my hear cath on Friday. They went in through the wrist. All is good. minor 30 - 40% blockage which the doctor was pleased with.

Cleaning windows today. Finally.

What is going on in the world? Who cares?

Thursday, July 25, 2013

Whatever

Anthony Weiner should have used SnapChat.

Heart cath.

Tuesday, July 23, 2013

Hello

The kittens have emerged from under the house. Two are evil, one is very friendly.
Summer ignores them as much as possible.

The royal baby is richer than I am.

Tuesday, July 16, 2013

Seems like my comments to Kens blog are not posting. Not sure what that is all about.

Hopefully I find out about some type of raise potential today.

Seems like summer weather is finally here.

Beach?

Rick Perry is an idiot.

http://www.rawstory.com/rs/2013/07/14/rick-perry-insists-justice-system-is-color-blind-after-zimmerman-verdict/

I think it might not rain this week.

Do you want a kitten?

Doctor visit tomorrow.

Musings of me

Johnny, Emmy and a little help from Roy Acuff. Dam fine music. Nice start to the morning.

Massive sinus headache this morning.

There is some weird orange thing in the sky this morning. Hope the rain and clouds come back to obscure it.
Have not seen rain since yesterday.

Looking for a new camera, not the new camera price? Go to KEH.com. Some very good prices on used equipment.

If Trayvon Martin was the shooter he would have been found guilty. No matter what you think of the outcome of the case that one fact is the truth on the state of American racial politics.

Sorry for the lack of blogging and responses lately. Brain drain and brain funk. You know how it is.

The kittens living under the house. One very nice, one very mean and one still too chicken to come out.

Need to cut some of Summers hair today. Can't afford to bring her to the groomer.

Ken if your Roku is working watch "The Killing" on Netflix. It is an AMC series. I think you will like.

I want a 3-d printer.

If the orange thing stays out I'll go and take some pictures today.

How much dog hair in your house is acceptable?

Thursday, July 11, 2013

Seattle

Greensboro has had 12.5 inches of rain since June 1st. 40% of our annual rain in the last six weeks.

Nazi Carolina looks like they are going to start drug testing welfare precipitants. Really nice way to waste my tax dollars. I wanted my politicians drug tested.

So momma kitten has three kittens and they are living under the house right now.

Wednesday, July 10, 2013

I am still here

Baby kitty has gone back to Momma kitty.

I need to plan my vacation.

Ok. That is it.

Brain is on vacation, I am not.

Humid

The best band out there today.

So I wanted to head out towards the ocean on the 4th and then I went and did something that prevented me from getting there. I was something that never happens to me. I actually go lost. I ended up nowhere near where i wanted to be. By the time I realized I was way to far south from where I wanted to be I said f' it and turned around and came home.

I got my computer running better. Had to reinstall the video driver and do a few virus scans. I know everything is not alright but at least it is running better...

The rain is completely out of control. Flooding all over the place. More coming today.  When we get the downpours they are intensely heavy. Dumping inches in a very short time.

Summer gets a bath today. Like right now. The little flea bag need one badly.

Farmers market was good today.

Tuesday, July 2, 2013

Crap

My computer is giving me problems. Virus or some other problem, not sure.

Yup more rain today.

In the last month I have lost eight pounds and 4% body fat.

I am bored with work.

Where to go on vacation?  The Keys are sounding great.

Shower time

Monday, July 1, 2013

rAIN

Man have we been getting hammered with rain. Potential for up to 4 inches between now and the 4th. Geesh. Enough already.

Had my stress test Friday. Seemed to go well. Treadmill went fine. Now to find out how the dye went through my system.

The protests in Egypt are insanely huge. We does Morsi go?

Going to head down towards the water on the 4th, weather permitting.

Nice three day work week.

Time to run and have some fun.

Chaos

Abortion fight in Texas, very odd rulings from the Supreme Court, Edward Snowden, protests on Brazil and Greece and economic chaos in the U.S.

Yup, times are good.

Insanely heavy rains yesterday. Flash flooding in places around here.

Shower time.

Tuesday, June 25, 2013

Monday, June 24, 2013

monday

The Edward Snowden story keeps on getting crazier by the day. One thing you need to do is stop listening to the outrage being expressed my many and listen to the story. Funny how they keep making a big deal about his passport being revoked. Like that is really an issue. Countries always break that rule including the United States.

Nik Wallenda your walk was crazy. Not something I plan on doing, ever.

Had to buy a new receiver yesterday. My old Yamaha blew a channel. Of course most people would have got rid of it years ago after the led display burned out.

I bought a Denon AVR-1513. Considered a low end, price wise, receiver these days.

Down to 248 pounds.

Watch Game of Thrones. Good series.

Weday

Have you noticed that the ads are getting longer on  youtube?

1 in 9 bridges in America are unsafe. When do we start to fix them?

Going to take the truck to Carmax today and see what they think it is worth.

Have you seen the protests in Brazil?

When will that happen here?

Looks like a lovely day today. Finally no  rain.

Summer solstice is coming.

Tuesday, June 18, 2013

Cool

This is a pretty cool home. Keeps your life much more simple.

Obama's approval ratings are taking a big hit. Seems that people really do not like all the spying that is going on. Media would have you think otherwise.

Sorry that is it. Things are quiet these days.

Friday, June 14, 2013

Doc

Going to a cardiologist today. Have lost 13 lbs in the last 5 weeks. Have cut out meat for the most part. No fried food. Fresh fruit smoothie for breakfast. More veggies for dinner.

The crazy storms that hit yesterday missed me. They were all around.

Outside of some cleaning no real plans for this weekend.

Nothing else to say. Life is slow.

Wednesday, June 12, 2013

Halfway to Friday

Good to see the leaders in Turkey are such good friends of democracy.

Sending some pictures to Autumn to put in her shop.

Nothing else this morning. Having a brain drain.

92 here today.

Tuesday, June 11, 2013

Wow, the spying debacle has opened up a storm of confusion.
Amazing how many Americans think it is perfectly fine that we are spied on.
Guess they are the folks who do not pay attention to history.
It is not ok for the government to spy on everyone and everything and if you think they are not doing that you are fooling yourself.

Nice how the media wants to vilify Snowden and dems now see all the spying as fine. Brainwashed by Obama. Fools.

Sunday, June 9, 2013

Going to head over to Chapel Hill and see what pictures I can find.

Also going to wash the truck today and vac and mop the floor. House smells like dog. A little swavitell and the smell will be gone.

Andrea was nothing here.

The start of something below.

The photograph told me, there was a time and a reason.

Lost 10 lbs since 5-15-13. 50 to go.

Friday, June 7, 2013

Fuck you American government you Stasi bastards

Be very afraid of your government. The spying we know about is only a small fraction of spying we do not know about.

What is next?

It is not ok to do all this in the name of terrorism. We are building a country of spineless bastards who will be afraid of there neighbors. Nice to know we are building towards a dictatorship in the name of freedom.

Hey NSA "FUCK YOU, YOU EVIL BASTARDS".

Tuesday, June 4, 2013

New doc

Going to see my new doctor today.

Been drinking protein drinks for breakfast the last few days. Fresh strawberries with almond and coconut milk, whey protein. They taste very good. The long weight lose battle has begun. Salads for dinner or lunch.

Looks like I nned to put new washers in the bathtub faucets. They are leaking like a sieve.

Thinking about trading the truck for a Mini Cooper.

Won $4 in lotto. Can't retire.

Time for a smoothie.

Check out moral Monday protests in NC. They are getting bigger.

He ain't heavy, he's my brother..........................

Paul Pelletier September 12th 1962 to May 31st 2013.

Paul died yesterday at the age of 50 and broke a piece of my heart.

There are people you meet in life that become friend, family and foe. That was Paul. I meet him in the mid 80's when he living in Orlando. Paul and Mike had been friends through their high school years and somehow Paul ended up in Orlando, where Mike was going to UCF, after spending some time at Penn State. By the end of the 80's all of us were living in Ct. Mike and I were living in Cheshire and Paul in Bristol right across the street from ESPN. He used to go out at night and drive golf balls into ESPN's satellite dishes.

We drank lots and lots and lots of Jack Daniels, every day. It was just a little insane.

It was in those years that Paul and I started going to Key West and I eventually lost count of how many times we went. It always felt like we were going home when we went and was depressing when we left.

The last time we were in Key West, with Jeff, Paul became an ordained minister on the internet so he could marry an English couple who was staying at the same place we were. He didn't marry them.

Paul had many missteps through the years and moved back to Ct. for a while, then to Arizona and finally back to Ct. and moved back in with his Mom and stepfather.

During those years Paul and I went to Vegas and out to the Grand Canyon, Brice Canyon and Zion National Park That was a great vacation as we got to see many wild and varied parts of the country.

We also went out to California and saw the redwoods, Crater Lake and awesome stretches of the California/Oregon coast.

There several stretches through the years were Paul lived with me for extended periods of time. Some for better, some for worse.

With Paul living in Ct. and me in Florida and now NC we did not get to see each other much over the last 4 or 5 years. A couple hours here and there. We did have periodic very long talks on the phone.

As we all got older and changed the one thing with Paul that never changed was his love/hate for alcohol. To watch someone you love struggle, fight and live as an alcoholic is thoroughly depressing. Family , friends, jobs and so many other things get tested.

Paul had many demons and in the end he could not outrun them.

We had 26 years as best of family, friend and foe. We deserved at least 26 more.

I miss you already.

Picture taken on a bridge over the Colorado River somewhere between the north and south rim of the Grand Canyon in September 2005.

The song is dedicated to Paul. It was his favorite song and it was a song to be played in Key West.

Things

Have to buy a new dvd player. The tray will not open on mine anymore.
Thankfully they are cheap both in price and quality, these days.

Caught one of the cats and he now has a collar with a bell. Wonder how long that will last?

Going to a health fair tomorrow. Something my chiropractor and his wife are putting on. They are having a contest for the month of June and I have a chance to win $600 by losing weight and doing a couple other things.

Looks like a good weekend here. hope yours is a well.

Thursday, May 30, 2013

Wake the day the metal way

Party in the rain with Dave. Hell yeah.....................

Seems like summer has hit the east coast.

Looking at my windows right now. Seems like they need to be cleaned.

Goodbye Michele Bachmann and your gay husband. We hardly had enough of your stupid ignorance.

Time for breakfast. Blueberries and strawberries for today.

Wednesday, May 29, 2013

blah blah

Watch Daryl's House videos or show. Lots of great collaborations.

Work sucks but you need the bucks.

The cats are going to be getting little collars with bells to let the birds know they are around.

The IRS scandal is looking bigger.

In spite of what the media is telling you the economy is not getting better. Did all of us come into cash all of the sudden?

I think I am going to get a fishing license.

Tuesday, May 28, 2013

Boo

Fuck work. Lets go to the beach and party.

Looks like summer weather is here. Close to 90 be the end of the week.

Ever had almond milk? Is it a better alternative than soy milk?

It is fresh strawberry time for NC strawberries. Yum.

Later, its breakfast time.

Sold Sold Sold

Super successful yard sale yesterday. $365.00 worth of goodies sold and very very little brought back into the house. Yard sale started at 8 a.m. but I was ready for the many customers who showed up a 7 a.m.

Stayed out till 4 o'clock sitting in the rocking chair, reading a new copy of "Sun" and playing with Summer.

Well worth it. Now the other goodies I want to sell are going on Ebay for some bigger dollars.

One of my neighbors brought me a muffin yesterday. Summer had a little and loved the thing. I put the wrapper on the ground so she could clean it off. She ate the wrapper.

Gonna head to parts unknown today and see what I can find.

Peace. Out.

My Friday

Cool cover of Beck's Loser. Where is today's Ska music?

So I am off tomorrow. I will getting ready for the yard sale on Saturday. Weather is going to be perfect. Hopefully i get rid of everything and make lots of money.

Saturday is also the first car show in town. Should be a very good turnout with it being Memorial Day weekend and the weather going to be in the 70's.

Sunday I think I am getting up early and heading out to the coast. time to dip my toe in the waters of the Atlantic.

Should be a good picture weekend.

Have a great day.

Mothernature

Ray Manzarek passed away yesterday. His musical legacy is matched by very few and he did an amazing job of keeping the history of the Doors alive.

An amazingly high quality video of the band performing live.

The Doors played a major part in my college years and Jim had already been dead for 10 years at that point.

Thank you Ray.

The pictures and video coming out of Oklahoma are stunning. I can only imagine the shear terror of being in a tornado. Really there is not much to say as the pictures and video being shown are really mind numbing.

Mundayne

Spent Friday night getting my virus protection updated. took forever to get it fixed.

Saturday was lawn mowing and I cut down four more trees. The very back yard now has sunlight. By the end of summer the yard will be about how I want it.

Very humid this weekend. Lots of rain Saturday night. Very little sun either day.

Summer is sick. Seems like she ate something she did not like. Very lethargic.

Memorial Day weekend approaches. Summer season begins.

Finally Friday

Finally it is Friday. The end of another long work week.

Dick Trickle committed suicide yesterday. He was one of the NASCAR drivers who along with ESPN brought NASCAR to the masses. Dad. He was one of the good guys.

Powerball now $550 million.

No plans for the weekend.

Fever

No Powerball winner means the whole country will be gripped in Powerball Fever. Right now the jackpot is $475 million. Guess I can get my new cameras and my tour bus to travel the U.S.

So we go from having the heat on on Monday and Tuesday morning to having the AC on when I got home from work last night crazy. Seems like storms the next few days. Valium for my Summer.

I need a nice extra long weekend. work is getting over bearing. Of course after winning Powerball it will not matter anymore.

My grandmother with be 91 in two weeks. Still lives alone and is getting along great.

Went to the doc the other for a little checkup. Weight is too much. Way too much. Time for a real diet. No more fries with lunch. More salad.

Summer puked what look like turd last night. Yum. Glad that meets me for breakfast.

Rise up progressives.

The Reach Around

So now the Obama criminal organization is using the DOJ to get information on how the AP gathers its news. It can only be for the purpose of tamping down on freedom of the press. They want the the story spun their way and don't want any information that may seem negative to reach American citizens.

What a complete failure on so many levels.

All the spying and information gathering that goes on daily by the government AND corporate American is going to come home to roost some day.

The revolution will be televised.

IRS

The IRS scandal is troubling. When are we as individuals going to be targeted?

Great weather weekend. Started washing the house. They house is so dirty from the train dirt and dust. The parts I have cleaned look like they were just painted.
Hopefully I can finish tonight after work.

18 shot at a parade yesterday. Where are their Mom's?

Mom's back is bad. Surgery, acupuncture or chiropractor coming soon.

Finally the right person won Survivor last night.

Looks like this will be the first week since the third week in January where we will go seven days without rain. Close to three inches above average so far this year.

Time for toast.

Friday, May 10, 2013

Rock you breakfast

Tasty little piece of Kansas for your morning coffee.

Glad it is Friday. Rough week overall.

Ken had a nice post on Facebook yesterday the state of the State in North Carolina.
This new governor is a very dangerous man. There have been a few times now where several people have been arrested for civil disobedience. Everything thing he has done is taking us backwards. everyone should be aware. Your interests will be next, unless you are rich, and white.

Benghazi lies or WMD lies, which is worse? Hmmm.

Rain

Well it has been raining here. Last night was the first good thunderstorm and Summer had a freak out.

Some sun today and tomorrow. Rain Saturday and Sunday.

Memorial service for my bosses son today. Two in one week. Ouch.

Had you seen the new leader of the NRA. Wow, a wackjob. Great choice.

Peace.

Me

So yesterday I got an email from Bravo TV. They want to use one of my pictures on a new tv show about houses. I figure I'll do it.

The story about the girls being kidnapped is very bizzare.

More rain again today. Uggh.

Time for some pumpernickel.

Tuesday, May 7, 2013

You gotta ask why

Yesterday I wrote about my bosses husband dying, today another. My other boss, actually not really my boss but he used to own the company, his 44 year old son died. He had been having heart issues and drove himself to the hospital last Wednesday. His heart was so bad they had to put him into an induced coma.
By Sunday parts of his body had already started to fail and was on life support.
Yesterday they took him off life support and he passed away. he needed a heart transplant but being 6' 6" and 300 plus pounds a heart a for someone his size was not available. Most of this I found out at the memorial service on Sunday.

Monday, May 6, 2013

Starts again

So yesterday I went to a funeral for my bosses husband. Ralph dies from ALS.
From diagnosis to death was around 1 1/2 years. Basically you die because your muscles get so weak that you can not eat or breath. most people die within two years of diagnosis.

Crappy weather all weekend cold and windy Saturday. Mostly windy, cold and rainy yesterday.

Let the registration run out on the Sport Trac. No sense paying for registration, taxes and insurance. The money can go elsewhere.

So two of the kittens from earlier this year have been hanging around and  was giving them food. That has stopped. I saw one catch a bird that was on the ground eating. Time to go back home little hunters.

Adios

Friday, May 3, 2013

Fantastic Friday

Wow, the sun might come out today. Amazing. Crappy weather week.

Yard sale next Saturday. Weather iffy tomorrow. Plenty of goodies available.
Will advertise it on Craigslist.

Wonder if the President will score a bag of weed while in Mexico.

Rat meat sold as lamb in China. How damm big are the rats.

Every day more comes out about the bombers. Next week they had plotted to blow up the Indy 500.

Parents who buy a five year old a gun should be sterilized.

Regarding  the video - - - Prince please do guitar based album of rock music. You are very underated as a player.

Rock out with your cock out, its Friday bitches.

The Heat

Looks like Obama is feeling the heat over Guantanamo. Glad, he deserves it.

The housing market is beginning to get crazy again. Watch out the bubble is getting bigger. Can you burst? It will be a couple years but it is going to happen.

Pricing things for my yard sale. Lots of stuff.

The cats are coming every morning and evening for food. They are eating some of the food Summer does not really like.

Time to clean the poo that Summer left in the dining room last night. Great way to start the morning.

Bye.

Tuesday, April 30, 2013

Whatever

Very very early Replacements video. Just plain good rock n roll.

Where does Tim Tebow go?

Have you been paying attention to what is going on at Gitmo. Now over 100 of the 166 prisoners are on a hunger strike. Did you know that 86 have been cleared for release and are still being held.

Lots of rain here Sunday and Sunday night. No flooding. Plants and flowers should start to go wild.

My dad needs to have surgery on his meniscus and one of the things they say mom needs is to have her gall bladder out. They are so thrilled.

Friday, April 26, 2013

Happy Friday

Looks like a good day not to be working.

Outside of going to the chiropractor the rest of the day will be spent screwing around doing chores and doing nothing.

Two of the kittens from a few months ago having been hanging around again.
Very skittish and always meowing.

Watching all the ex-presidents at W's library yesterday was interesting. George 1 is looking like an old man. He and President Carter are the same age. Hard to believe.

Why no news stories about the people injured in the Texas explosion. Seems like people do not care. Very odd. Wonder why "terrorists" seek soft targets.

Wednesday, April 24, 2013

Dirty Wars

This should be the movie of the year.

Went to a chiropractor on Monday. Going again Friday. Amazing how your body can crack and bend.

Big flea market in Liberty Saturday. Going to have a yard sale here in a week. Clean out some junk and pocket some cash.

Two of the "kittens" have been back for the last two days. Summer is less than pleased. Going to give them some milk. Bye.

Tuesday, April 23, 2013

View

Why is it that the 14 people killed and 200 injured are getting so little coverage.
Is what happened in West, Texas any less of a tragedy than what happened in Boston? Have we created so much fear around terrorism. The terrorist in Boston is corporate American where you can store 1300 times legal amount of fertilizer and get away with it. Remember it is our elected leaders than wrote laws for these companies that has allowed them not to be inspected since 1985.

Remember more people die from workplace injuries every year than die from terrorist attacks. Far more. Do we spend anywhere near the money fixing that.
We would rather write laws loosening regulations because corporations will always obey laws for the good of the people.

Saturday, April 20, 2013

Wow wow wow

Just plain crazy and insane. How the hell else can you describe the events from Thursday night through last night. Between listening to the police scanner for Boston PD, Watertown PD, twitter and tv reports I felt like a junky on an information high.

It will be very interesting to seem where this case leads and how this case came to be. It seems that the surviving brother does not fit the mold of what the country thinks of as a terrorist. How these brothers evolved into what they are alleged to have done will be very interesting.

What I found interesting was the willingness of all the people in that area to accept the order to stay in place and not leave their home based on the fact that one man was still at large. What would have happened if you just went out and got in your car and headed out to wherever? Seems like martial law would be very east to impose on the American society.

Rome, here we come

Once the religious, the hunted and weary
Chasing the promise of freedom and hope
Came to this country to build a new vision
Far from the reaches of Kingdom and pope

Like good Christians some would burn the witches
Later some got slaves to gather riches

But still from near and far to seek America
They came by thousands, to court the wild
But she just patiently smiled and bore a child
To be their spirit and guiding light

And once the ties with the crown had been broken
Westward in saddle and wagon it went
And till the railroad linked ocean to ocean
Many the lives which had come to an end

While we bullied, stole and bought a homeland
We began the slaughter of the red man

But still from near and far to seek America
They came by thousands to court the wild
But she just patiently smiled and bore a child
To be their spirit and guiding light

The Blue and Grey they stomped it
They kicked it just like a dog
And when the war was over
They stuffed it just like a hog

And though the past has its share of injustice
Kind was the spirit in many a way
But its protectors and friends have been sleeping
Now it's a monster and will not obey

The spirit was freedom and justice
And its keepers seemed generous and kind
Its leaders were supposed to serve the country
But now they won't pay it no mind
Cause the people grew fat and got lazy
Now their vote is a meaningless joke
They babble about law and order
But it's all just an echo of what they've been told

Yeah, there's a monster on the loose
It's got our heads into the noose
And it just sits there watchin'

The cities have turned into jungles
And corruption is stranglin' the land
The police force is watching the people
And the people just can't understand
We don't know how to mind our own business
'Cause the whole world's got to be just like us
Now we are fighting a war over there
No matter who's the winner we can't pay the cost

'Cause there's a monster on the loose
It's got our heads into the noose
And it just sits there watchin'

America, where are you now
Don't you care about your sons and daughters
Don't you know we need you now
We can't fight alone against the monster

America, where are you now
Don't you care about your sons and daughters
Don't you know we need you now
We can't fight alone against the monster

Dear XTC

This song should be pushed back up the charts again.

It is interesting that as Americans we will the deaths of people killed by a "terrorist" incident far more than the 10,000 people murdered by guns and the 20,000 who commit suicide by guns.

All the press given to the Boston bombing would make you think this is a rare event. While rare in the  U.S. people in many parts of the world live with this being an everyday reality. Often the bombs are from America and are provided by our military.

Have you looked or read about the immigration bill. There is no way the bill will be followed by immigrants. We need to get over the fact that they are here and work to welcome them into our nation with open arms. They are not going anywhere regardless of what laws we pass.

Peace for pollen.

Oh yeah, new video is installed.

Tuesday, April 16, 2013

Some days are diamonds, some days are stone

As we remember and try to understand the events in Boston yesterday we need to understand that many parts of the world live with events like this everyday.

It's about time we start to recognize that we are all human beings and stop hating someone who has a different god, language, skin color or a whole host of thing than you do. We are all humans and until we start to recognize that fact events like this will happen and perpetuate more events like this.

Thursday's update for the thinking person

Things are not as they seem.

That was easy

Tyrone Power's daughter and her husband.

Well UConn had an easy time against Louisville last night. Really not much of a challenge at all. Geno has tied Pat Summit at eight national championships. More to come. Congratulations.

Two months worth of drugs for Summer, $321.00. Bleeding money.

Saw bits and pieces of Frontline last night. It was an amazing look at the war in Syria. Very sad. Syria looks like a beautiful country. Why is the world letting this happen?

Should the mayor of Greensboro, who is 10.8 million dollars in debt, really be the mayor.

There some interesting tidbits from Henry Kissinger in the new Wikileaks release. He really is not a nice man.

Hater

Maggie Thatcher called Nelson Mandela a terrorist and supported apartheid in South Africa.
She hated unions and the common working person. Her PR people studied American politics and how they used image making in the press to help foster a good image so she would seem less cold. Looks like it worked for the most part.

It cost me $145.00 to fill both trucks with gas. Ouch.

The democratic mayor of Greensboro just filed bankruptcy. His child support and alimony is $13,000 a month. He seems like a crook. The leadership in Greensboro is absolutely horrible. They all seem like crooks.

Background checks do work. I have seen it in action.

Monday, April 8, 2013

it's here

Nice game by UConn taking down Notre Dame. A tea m that nobody expected to do well could win the National Championship. Well done.

Planted a bunch of perennials yesterday. More to go to fill in the area. Need some type of perennial grass that blooms as well.

Seems winter is over, finally.

Sorry, that is it for this morning.

Friday, April 5, 2013

Just do it

52% of Americans now call for legalization of marijuana. Just legalize. Time to stop the sad waste of lives that end up in prison for a stupid law.

Has been another brutal week at work Mentally draining.

Looks like a great weather weekend. Think I'll do all my chores Saturday and go for a nice ride on Sunday.

The vet has found a new drug for Summer. She starts next week.

Goodbye Roger Ebert. You and Gene were great. Saw many movies based on your reviews I would have never seen. Thank you.

Amazing talk. If you never have watched or listen to Ted Talks I urge you to do so.
There are some amazing talks on a wide variety of issues of interest to all.

Onward and upward amigos.

Old, cranky and weird

So today I am now 50 years old. What does it mean, who knows?  Mentally still a kid, physically old on many days. Seems odd how the brain and body are so different in the way they react to age. Time to start life all over again. Anybody got a binky?

So mom is still sick and on vacation. Three weeks of vacation and sick the whole time. Still no idea what is wrong.

Maybe Uconn woman vs Tenn in the final four.

Time for a couple eggs and toast for breakfast.

Happy Easter

Happy Easter everyone.

Up a notch

New Son Volt.

It seems that we and the North Korean leadership are both intent on kicking up the war talk a notch or two everyday now. Maybe the U.S. needs to back off on doing things that the North Koreans think is testing them. Since the leadership seems so unstable in NK anything may set off  a real and deadly confrontation.

No dam war people. Wake up.

Looks like a wet Easter weekend.

Cool t little video.

War time Thursday

He's right.

So mom still does not feel great and they still are not sure why she is sick.

Maybe this weekend I'll get some plants for the garden. I think the freezing weather is past.

Gonna start putting things on Ebay again. Time to make some money on some things I have.

More people have died from gun deaths since Newtown than soldiers that have in in Afghanistan since that war started. Yup no problem with guns here.

It's Time

Hopefully the Supreme Court will give some indication that we are moving forward today.
It is time for our Puritan relatives to wake the hell up and see we do not need YOUR God telling the rest of America what to do.

monday again

Well I did not anything in Powerball so it is off to work today.

Crappy weather weekend. Bit off sun Saturday afternoon but yesterday was a total washout. Lots and lots of rain. Did mess around in the shed and cleaned up the toolbox and cleaned a couple of old pocket knives.

So my parents are in Florida and my mom has been sick the whole week they have been there. She is now in the hospital. She went in yesterday. They think she has pneumonia and there is a spot on her lung they think is related to the pneumonia. They also think she has some kind of kidney infection. Lots of tests. Some results today. The last year for them has been a real nightmare. More on the last year soon.

Cold today, possible flurries tonight. A year ago we where in the upper 70's and low 80's.

I saw Jim Carroll do a poetry reading several years ago. Very funny. Jim died.

West Virginia paper’s anti-LGBT column wants death for ‘n*ggers, spics, kikes and wops’ (via Raw Story )

A newspaper in West Virginia is defending its decision to publish a reader’s racist and homophobic comments, which called for “queers” to be put to death along with “n*ggers, spics, kikes and wops.” WCHS-TV reported on Wednesday that the Lincoln Journal had come under fire for printing a…

Bullshit

Gitmo costs an estimated $177 million dollars a year for less than 100 inmates. We are planning a $150 million renovation for Gitmo. Most of them are not guilty but we do not want to let them go because we are afraid them will go and fight against us someplace and we can not send them home because they may be tortured. Great policy and use of tax dollars.

Powerball is now up to $320 million.

Harry Reems is dead.

Temps below 50 for the next several days.

Fuck you CVS. Making employees tell you their weight and body fat or be fined $600. How bout they stop selling cigarettes and alcohol. Eat shit motherfuckers.

I need some toast. Later.

10 years

A great song about needless death. Maybe George Bush should have listened to this song 10 years ago before he sent soldiers into Iraq. What have we accomplished in that ill advised war? Thousands of dead soldiers, single parents, kids with no mom or dad.  Tens of thousands of Iraqi dead, an Iraqi civil war, more terrorism. A collapsed American economy. More dependence on the military industrial complex.

A complete total failure of U.S. foreign policy of epic proportions that will have effects on American generations for years to come.

If we, The United States of America, want to viewed as world leaders we need to review what we are doing. We are being viewed by other peoples of the world more than ever before and they do not like what they see. We are inviting another 9/11 and the next time there just may be a government sanctioned attack by someone we are killing today.

Rusty

Feel a little rusty this morning.. Hopefully a warm shower will oil my joints.

So Saturday was a lovely day. Close to 80 degrees and fairly sunny. Refinished a bureau and a mirror and was outside most of the day. Yesterday the high was 60 at midnight and got colder and windier as the day went along. Rain sometime today.

I pulled my savings from my Cyprus bank this morning. You should as well. Keep it under your frozen food.

Summer now has a limp to along with her cough. When she first wakes up its a long nasty cough and a slow limp to the breakfast bowl.

So we have a new antique shop in town. The bakery close, really a fair baking anyhow. The hardware store that is not open on Saturdays is closing and the restaurant is not for sale anymore. Still no word on the grocery store moving in the closed grocery store space.

Spring?

Pope n Roll

Rock n Roll's Pope.

Glad a new Pope was finally picked. Now the world news can move on to something the rest of us care about. Really the news coverage was a bit much if you put it into context of real world affairs.

This will be the story that will make some traction about the new Pope. The Dirty War.

No war Wednesday

http://www.truthdig.com/arts_culture/item/kill_anything_that_moves_20130312/

Someone in North Korea seems bent on war. Hard to know who is leading this latest march. Not everyone responds to pressure from other countries the same way. They could easily hit S. Korea before they could even react. Maybe its time to change some tactics and do some real negotiating.

WTF

So Summer was panting like a madman last. So loud that I closed the bedroom door so I could get to sleep.

She must have been pissed. When I got up she got up went into the dining room and took a crap instead of walking over to the door and waiting for me to let me out. Thanks. I love the smell of dog poo in the morning. Goes well with coffee.

Monday, March 11, 2013

monday morning pickin

Of of Jim's fine song. One of many finely crafted stories.

Busy weekend at the homestead.

Raked leaves, mowed the back yard and took everything out of the screened porch washed off dirt and grime and put the porch back together again.

Summer is shedding like crazy. Combed a dog's worth of hair from her and still have a lot of hair that could come off.

North Korea is talking a whole bunch of trash. The more pressure we put on them the worse their rhetoric gets. What's gonna cause somebody to give?

Pick a Pope soon. I have heard enough of the story already.

The weekend is only 40 hours away.

Friday, March 8, 2013

Spring

Spring forward this weekend. It will be nice to have some real daylight when I get home from work.
A little yard work to get the garden ready and plant some flowers. Thrown down some grass seed.

Work is insanely busy. Need some vacation time.

I think there are some yard sales this weekend. First of the spring.

Have a sunny weekend.

People

Hank Jr's daughter. Family genes.

Goodbye Hugo. You left a very muddled legacy for your country. You did help the poor at home and in many other places but left much chaos as well.

My bosses husbands ALS is progressing at a very rapid rate. Very horrible way to die.

Ken check out Gardens and Gun @gardenandgun.com it is a very good magazine/website about the south,

The White House has canceled the White House tours during the sequester. What a big load of crap. How low can the President sink in this debate? What an asshole.

Think I may have a yard sale at the end of the month. Come on over.

Brrrrrrrr

A lovely song I heard for the first time ever last night while watching Boardwalk Empire.

26 this morning and windy. Please warm up.

summer is now on Prednisone, Z-pack, Cipro, Singulair, tumeric and fish oil. What is next?

My parents are flying to Florida and will not be stopping in for a visit until this fall.

Tablet or laptop?

Have a Sunday.

OH MY GOD............................

Are we still here?

Are we tumbling over the cliff yet?

Dogs and cats having sex with each other?

This is only one penny out of every federal dollar. Maybe we just cut the whole F-35 program, now.

If we are still here tomorrow have a good weekend.

Yup

Good to see the Catholic Church is falling apart with more sex scandals as the Pope resigns. Why are there so many sex scandals within the church.

The 500 was boring except for the last 20 laps. Where was the passing? The need to figure out a way they can pass and not get shuffled to the back.

Good race for Danica.

Uggh, its a work Monday.

This That and The Other

Do not think I could have come up wit this mix.

So I go to Wally World yesterday to get $150.00 worth of meds for Summer and I get to enjoy the wonders of America. I see a woman whose fat roll hung down to her nether region, a woman with that stupid haircut where the hair in back is cut very close and the sides are long, wearing her fake ripped jeans, tons of fake gold and thinking she was hot and two lesbians having a loud shouting love dispute in the parking lot. Hooray for Wally World.

Let the sequestration happen. Like it really fucking matters. Nice how the government trots out all these talking heads from the DOD in a feeble attempt to scare Americans in letting them have more money for their ill fated war on terror. Make the DOD cut 20%, now.

Nice little thunderstorm in the middle of the night. Summer was in a complete panic for a good hour. Glad I did not need that hour of sleep.

So I have spend $775.00 on Summer in the last week. It is so good to be financially insecure and have credit cards.

Fight the Power.

Thursday, February 21, 2013

Cool

Here is a neat little invention for those with a creative mind.

Rain/ice mix tonight and for rush hour in the morning. Woo Hoo. Maybe Ken is getting snow and I can feel better.

Summer's cough has been better the last two days. Not sure why but we will both take it while it lasts.

I need a vacation. Too busy at work and too many errors trying to make everyone happy. Not a good mix.

Night.

Wednesday, February 20, 2013

Summer

So Summer went back to the vets yesterday. They put her under again and did some tests. Hopefully they can figure something out. She was a little out of it last night. Her eyes were so red and dark. It looked very odd.

Training with Winchester today on bullets. 6 hours of training on bullets. 6 hours, uuggh. Seems like a long time.

Really not much else going on.

Have you been to the country store?

Monday, February 18, 2013

Cold

So it was 63 on Friday. It snowed all day  Saturday but we had no accumulation. Yesterday morning it was 24 and windy as all get out. Colder this morning. The wild swings before the onset of spring.

So Summer has to go back to the vets again tomorrow. In the long run they can't understand why her cough has not gotten better. More x-rays and and another tracheal wash to get to a culture for analysis.

Hopefully today will be quiet at work since it is Presidents day.

Conspiracy folks will say that Danica winning the pole at Daytona was planned by Nascar.

Lots of birds at the bird feeder this weekend. Lots. Must be that spring is on the verge of happening any day now. Yard sales, gardening and mowing the lawn any day now. Oh yeah, a trip to the outer banks.

Mother Nature

Wow. This is a very rare event. Not like these get caught on video. How wild is this?

Summer is going to the vets today for her cough. Hopefully they can find some meds that will help.

Chance of flurries tonight snd tomorrow.

Yea, its Friday.

Want to go on a Carnival cruise?

So Comcast will now own all of NBC Universal. Why are we allowing one of the two largest cable companies to own a television network. Hmmm, monopoly.

Should I install this.  https://www.eff.org/https-everywhere

Rain again today.

No I did not watch the speech.

2sday

From our Dear leader's Youtube channel.

Check out Tim Shorrock on Twitter. Good info on North Korea.

Income taxes done and filed.

Ted Nugent has been invited to the State of the Union speech tonight. Really nice piece of provocation.

I always like to check out this page.

Lightning struck the Vatican yesterday. Hmmmm.

Peace out.

Grammy Losers

My parents got hammered with 30 inches of snow. That is the most ever for one storm. At 8 pmp.m Friday they had eight inches. By 1 a.m. Saturday 30 inches.

Painting the kitchen begins this week.

Sorry I have not been blogging or responding to blogging. Internet boredom lately.

BFD, the Pope is resigning. Maybe someone more relevant will become Pope. Not that it changes anything for me.

Rain today and a few other days this week. Spring is in the air.

Black also did very well last night at the  Grammy's. how is it that a real band who kicks ass gets reconized.

Snowmaggedon

It seems like my parents are going to be for a little bit of snow. 10 to 18 inches of snow with winds up to 70 miles an hour. Sounds like lots of fun.

Had to get a new o2 sensor in the new truck. $250 bill. Hooray for spending money.

Gas is starting to get out of control again. The rise and fall of gas prices is so bizzare.

No plans yet for the weekend. I'd like to go someplace new. I'll see what Summer says

Enjoy your day.

Where do we go from here?

So we can kill Americans without due process now while we also kill many innocents with drones.

We hold human beings in Gitmo for 10 years and have NEVER charged them with ANYTHING and this is legal.

We torture.

We have the NDAA.

We have warrantless wiretapping.

We have heavy infiltration of any group that has any opinions different from government views.

We have a guy go to jail for years for a joint while banks who crashed the economy still walking the street.

We have a prison industrial complex.

We have had stagnant incomes for 30 years while the cost of living increases at an insane rate.

We have freedom?

Super Sunday

Lovely version of this classic Stones song.

Lets hope the game today is a classic instead of a dud. It would be even better if Ray Lewis and the Ravens lose. Much better.

Watching John McCain this week, while questioning Chuck Hagel, was great if you like watching a bitter old man still angry that he picked the nitwit from Alaska as a running mate.

So why is it we can't criticize Israel? I think I skipped that day in history class. Frankly if most Americans were actually awake during their life they would question the blind allegiance to Israel.

Where in hell is all this dust coming from. Really I want to know. I have other things I'd rather be doing.

So Twitter is actually a great entrance ramp to get on the information super highway. It just depends on who you follow.

Eat a lot, get fat and enjoy the commercials.

Lets go raise hell

I love this simple little song. Good for some hell raising.

71 71 45 no not my ideal dream girl, the temp coming home from work the last three days.

Watch the next oil fight. Canadian oil company wants tar sands oil going through Maine.

Goodbye Mr. Koch. You were New York.

ddddddumb asses

Did you catch any of the comment by fuckhead Wayne Lapierre and Senator Lindsey "Cracker" Graham while giving testimony at the gun control hearings yesterday. Wow, the ignorance they showed was stunning. Goes to the root cause of why we are so screwed up as a country.

Robert Reich has a great post on his blog Tuesday. At least he gets it. http://robertreich.org/

So, at least in Gibsonville, the storms last night were not much of anything. Winds for sure, a couple massive downpours, but they did not last long. I guess I was on the eastern edge and missed the mess. I see Boone got hammered. Lots of flooding.

How long before stagnant wages come back to hammer the economy?

Do you know that in some states home builders are back to building massive sub divisions. The folks saying the home building and homes sales part of the economy are delusional.

Almost the weekend.

Winter of confusion

Nice cover by ManOwar.

So the crazy winter weather continues. Today high of 69 and tomorrow in the low 70's. Thursday on highs back in the upper 40's. Very odd.

So the U.S. is thinking, most likely doing, of putting a drone base in North Africa. Kind of odd how the latest flare up in the "war on terrorism" is in North Africa and no we are go to build another base.

Really is this where we are at. Complete morons as leaders. What is the next step.

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/01/28/arizona-bills-require-con_n_2568131.html

Looks like my parents are not headed to Florida this winter. They are not happy about that.

Time for an english muffin. Later.

It's just another Monday

The great spying machine.

The F.B.I. once again is asking Google, Twitter, Facebook and many other to write a backdoor program to give them access to search their databases with less intrusion so they can spy on us.

Why can't U.S. citizens get unlocked cell phones? Follow the money trail.

sunday musings

Gotta love Candlebox. These guys are still out there kicking some ass.

My keyboard is so filthy. Wonder how many germs reside on keyboards across the world. Will give it a good cleaning today.

The ice is pretty much gone. Have to wash the truck today. It is insanely dirty from the the drive home Friday.

Why are good bird feeders so expensive?

Ok, time for a shower and start the day.

Later..................

Still Cold

Looks like a pesky snow/rain/ice storm tomorrow afternoon. Hopefully more rain or snow than ice.

Did we find out anything on Benghazi yesterday from Hillary?

Yea, women can now be full combat vets. You can kill for oil. The best of equal rights.

Some legislator in N.C. wants to pass a bill banning those on welfare or going through bankruptcy from buying lotto tickets. Yup, that's a great law. Good luck enforcing that, morons.

Bye Bye.

New Obama

All these folks, tv talking heads, are saying the liberal Barack came out in his speech yesterday at the inauguration. Until the drones stop I have a hard time believing that.

Gonna be 17 tonight. Yippee.

Summer's cough is not going away.

49ers for the Super Bowl.

Uconn women are are a roll. Another championship this year?

I wish more of this was available on the web but alas it is not.

He says some pretty amazing things.

Bloggedy blog blog

Lets see.

Five people got shot at Gun Appreciation Day events. Oopps. Wonder it that was part of the event.

George Barris sold the Batmobile at the Barret-Jackson Auction for $4 million dollars.

Need to go through my Roku channels. Seems a few are no longer available. If you Roko make sure you have Snag Films.

Wanted to do my income tax but I am still waiting for my mortgage info from the bank.
Should be getting a decent return again this year. Pay off some bills and still be broke.

Have you seen the new David Bowie video.

website of the day. http://www.pastemagazine.com/

Snow Markie Snow

Looks like we are going to get a couple inches of snow this evening. Summer will have fun going for a walk tonight. So will I.

Time to go. Have a headache.

Real hero's

If you have the time watch this video. This is someone who should be considered a real American hero for questioning alleged facts, digging for the truth and shining a little light on the moral failures of our nation.

Today the president comes out with his plans for gun control. Watch out for the blowback. It will be loud and boisterous and devoid of facts.

Time to do my income taxes. Hopefully a nice return.

Lest We Forget

This is a great piece of film making.

What odd weather we have been having. Friday it was foggy all day long. Felt like I was living in Seattle. It was kind of cool being foggy all day.  Foggy for a while yesterday and damp all day and foggy again this morning as i sit here writing this blog.

So the word is the pending gun legislation has manufacturers backlogged anywhere from 6 -18 months on their orders for assault style weapons. The basic model ar-15 type weapon that was selling for $650.00 a month ago is now selling for close to $2000.00. Paranoia is making some people very rich.

Taibbi: Geithner is ‘the architect of too big to fail’ (via Raw Story )

The legacy of outgoing U.S. Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner will be simple, said Rolling Stone contributing editor Matt Taibbi on Friday — and unflattering. “He’s the architect of “too big to fail,” Taibbi told Democracy Now hosts Amy Goodman and Juan Gonzalez. ” When this all blows up —…
