Why is it that the 14 people killed and 200 injured are getting so little coverage.
Is what happened in West, Texas any less of a tragedy than what happened in Boston? Have we created so much fear around terrorism. The terrorist in Boston is corporate American where you can store 1300 times legal amount of fertilizer and get away with it. Remember it is our elected leaders than wrote laws for these companies that has allowed them not to be inspected since 1985.

Remember more people die from workplace injuries every year than die from terrorist attacks. Far more. Do we spend anywhere near the money fixing that.
We would rather write laws loosening regulations because corporations will always obey laws for the good of the people.

There are many good laws on the books to protect working Americans on the job but enforcement agencies are underfunded or non-existent. OSHA was a strong force in the workplace in my day. I worked closely with their inspectors on one job and these people were serious. A trash can located too near an exit or electrical cut-off would be an automatic fine. Reagan gutted OSHA and what he didn't get, Bush 1, Clinton, and Bush 2 did get.
Stuff like the Texas tragedy have only just begun.
