The trip to Jacksonville for our training meeting on Saturday was good. Informative and positive.

Summer was glad I was back. She missed me.

Not really much else happening. Have not watched any news.

Looks like summer will be here this week. Upper 80's to 90's by the end of the week.

Will we never learn that continuing to use these chemicals in this way will create more dependency on more chemicals as we move forward. The chemical companies have created these products and they know they have created this dependency and this will keep putting money in their pockets.

We should not have to eat foods from the farm that are loaded with chemicals and are genetically modified.
GMO foods should be labeled so we know what we are consuming. The food industry and their lobby are fighting this.

Rise up against the machine my friends.

Going to Jacksonville, Florida Friday for work. We are having a sales meeting all day Saturday and then we are coming home instead of staying over so we do not waste our Sunday traveling.

If I can afford it I have decided I am going to Key West for vacation this year. Need sun and bloody marys for breakfast and a cuban sandwich and take lots of pictures and get a deep tan. Who wants to join me.

Tammy's Garden

Here is a picture from Tammy's garden I took back in 2009. This one made to Explore on Flickr after I posted it yesterday. First time in a while I have had a shot make to explore.

Lots of rain Saturday and yesterday. No sun at all yesterday.

Bought a Pentax K1000 and a Picasso print for an opening at the NY Metropolitan Museum at a yard sale Saturday. Each was $5.00. The camera works and the print is in a nice heavy frame.

Put a couple new books on Shelfari last night. Shelfari needs to clean up the way the whole interface works when changing your bookshelf. It is clumsy in my opinion and does not allow you to do things I think it should let you do.

 Got my federal income taxes back. Took just over a week. time to pay off bills or should I save it.

Got up at 4:45 a.m.  Not tired. Must have slept good for those few hours. Already did dishes, had a few days worth. Vacuuming is next. Yard sales around 8. Concert looks to be out as the rain/thunderstorms are supposed to hit around 3 and continue on and off all night. The bands I want to see start a 3:15. Not a good mix in my opinion..

Have to go to Wally World today and get blood pressure meds and laundry detergent. I guess I'll do that early before all the toothless people get there.

Watch the election in France. It seems Nicholas is in big trouble. That trend has been going on for some time. It seems the fringe groups of the left as starting to come together from many left/far left points of view and are beginning to make their voice heard. This needs to happen in the U.S. I have always thought the problem on the left is we can never get our differing opinions together in one united voice to become a political voice. The time is here.

Ken check out the new Picasa. Google has done some great upgrades and now offer many more editing options. Since it is free it is for me.

Not sure what I am doing this weekend. Weather is iffy at this point.

Glad this week is about over. Work has been hectic and my plans for the week have gone down the drain.

Another Monday

Read Post Secrets. I bet you can identify with some of them.

Bought an art deco Bassett Furniture set yesterday. A dresser, vanity with mirror, bench and nightstand all for $40.00. Going to refinish them and put them on Craig's List. Should be able to get $200 for it, maybe more. I have some before and after pictures.

Quiet day yesterday otherwise.

Going to be warm here today. In the 80's. We are getting behind in rain. 4 1/2 inches already.
Gotta to water the flowers.

The birds ate a whole feeders worth of sunflower seeds yesterday. It was crazy how many birds were around.

Summer

Summer told me that "Animals" is her favorite Pink Floyd album so I played this for her for breakfast.
She plays a mean air guitar.

No yard sale finds yesterday. Just missed missed getting an old old violin for $10 bucks.

Went to the gallery yesterday and took all my stuff out. I do have a place I can send some pictures.
A woman who I went to school with, who is a year or two older than me, has opened a restaurant and is selling photography there. She decorates the walls with pictures and sells them. I'll send some home. I cannot do any worse than the gallery and you can bank on that.

Can home and went crazy with the reciprocating saw and took down two small dogwoods and many many branches so some areas will get much more sunlight. Some of those areas will get flowers and some will get grass. Made a big difference. Still have more I want to get done.

Today go to flea market, do laundry, some yard work and walk Summer.

So one of baddest rock n roll bands is getting inducted into the RnR Hall of Fame this weekend and Axl ever the fuck up has refused induction because his ego is still getting in his way. Just fucking go and play with the band this one weekend. We want to see your magic one more tine.

Well the Zimmerman-Martin circus will now be under way in the courts. The insanity in this case will be beyond belief as the media will be all over this reporting from every angle you can think of and many you can't.

I think summer is getting better.

Summer's cough is going away but she seems lethargic for the most part.

A little Feat

Little Feat for breakfast today.

Took a little roadtrip with Summer yesterday. We went for a walk in the woods.
Then headed up to Danville. I found the arts district. Will head back without Summer to roam a little and get some cool pictures.

I noticed that Danville has fucking cameras everywhere at almost every streetlight and some on telephone poles that most people have no idea is a camera. A lille overkill and too much big brother.

My nose is all plugged up. Ran out of Claritin D yesterday. Must get on the way to work today.

Doc visit this afternoon for my Ulcer, maybe, headache problem and wrist. Geez, sounds so lovely. On the other hand my leg is good.

Happy Easter

Happy Easter my friends. Enjoy a song by the Gaither Choir with the lead sung by the one and only Vestal Goodman.

The Easter sunrise service is going on at the green downtown. I can hear them singing every once in a while.

Yesterday I bought a couple bench's, for the porch, and a wind chime at a yard sale.
Planted some flowers and seeds, trimmed some trees and mowed the tiny back patch of grass.

I am going to cut down a couple small trees this week. They are dogwoods that get so little sun that they are not that big and prevent the ground cover from getting sun.
I am planting some annuals that need some decent sun and this should help.

Heard the first chicks in one of the bird houses already. Very cool.

Going to take a little roadtrip today for some picture taking. Really not sure where yet since the price of gas is a killer.

Stuff

Shinedown is an excellent band. Have not seen them since about 2006 and they have become one of the better metal/hard rock bands today.

I took Summer to the vets today since she has had a bad cough on and off for a couple weeks. Seems she has bronchitis. She is taking Prednisone for the next month. They took some blood and sent it off for extra testing. My little baby is sick and just laying around.

Headache for breakfast and now one for prime time television viewing.

Finally going to do my taxes tomorrow night.

Tuesday Groove

Feel the soul in the Tuesday morning groove. Derek is the best player today.

Planted a couple dahlias last night. Getting ready to have a yard of color this year.
Going to Lowes at lunch to buy some rocks and some flowers. Going to some seeds online tonight.

Going to buy a wrist brace today to see if that will help at all.

Thanks to the Supreme Court you can now be strip searched even when you are arrested for minor offenses such as traffic violations. Another poor decision by the Supremely Stupid Court.

Doc visit was good. He is happy with the leg and not sure about my wrist. I am getting a brace for it.

Parents are doing well. Leaving today for Ct.

Lawnmower is fixed. Leaks are stopped. Bought flowers, perrenials, for the yard so I do not have to mow in some places.

Another day older and deeper in debt.

Gotta run. Spend a few with my parents before they go.
