Some say Jimmy Martin is the Fsther of Bluegrass. Because he was seen as a rebel in the music industry he never got many of the things he deserved.
He recorded some classic music and here is one I like quite a bit.

oh there is goes. duh. Yep I like it. that ole' timey music suits me just fine. thanks for sharing, as usual.
I remember Martin from the 50's; he was popular on local radio. He was good at mixing "bluesy" ballads and Bluegrass.
I think he liked to drink and raise a little bit of hell.
I'll look into some BBQ fests. I know there is a big one in Lexington in October.
Being a renegade contemporary of Hank, its no wonder the goody two-shoes in Nashville shunned him.
