The Sunday Times

One cool bluegrass song from the great Doyle Lawson.

Cukes have landed. Picked two from the garden last night.
Now I have maters and cukes picked. Peppers still growing like crazy.
Broccoli growing not producing, same as the zucchini.

The Tour de France has become a crash fest with two of the leaders in a breakaway from the peloton taken out by an asshole driver with a cameraman for French TV. My favorite rider this is the guy you see going up in the air into the barbed wire fence. Both guys did get back on and finish the race. At the time of the accident they were in the lead group 5 plus minutes ahead of the field.

Here is the accident.

Politics of the day.

Here are the costs of war. Financial and human and social.

I love the song and especially the video.
Why do they allow media cars access to riders?
Obama's "Real Change" has been just more of the same selling of freedom to big biz. Will you vote for him next year?
Glad your garden is doing well; Carolyn dumped the last of ours; not worth the effort.

cool song. bad luck on the fence. Damn, I feel for that dude. that looks like a video game for bike riders. Feel lucky if you don't get smashed to death.

The media cars and motorcycles with camerman are all through the peloton. They have strict guidlines which this driver falied to listen too. His supposed to ask if he can pass in certain places which he failed to do.

He is lucky nobody was killed.

As of today I am not voting for Obama. I hope there will be a decent third party canidate. I voted for Nader when Gore lost so I have no problem voting for a third party. Obama is weak in my opinion and caves under any pressure. It would be interesting if someone decided to challenge him. Watch as he gives in on Social Security and Medicare/Medicaid. The old and poor get shoved further into the poor house.

Politicians and the media divide us as a nation by pushing wedge issues like gun control, abortion, gay rights and the like when these issues have nothing to do with the running of a country.
