Dog Washing
I quite like this song. Heard him on NPR this morning. Welcome Tim, I like your stuff.
I gave Summer a bath this morning. She seems to like it ok. Does not fight the water at all. Of course mid bath does require a shake so I have to get wet also. Then a quick walk to rid some of the excess water from her.
Now she pants before her nap.
Woke up with a headache. Sinus headache?
Have someone coming by to see about getting power for a dryer. Drying clothes outside is a pain. There is actual planning on doing laundry depending on rain. Yea, that works well for me.
Has the gov't collapsed yet? Have Obuma and Boner kissed and made up?
Yawn............

Mother Trucker
I love the jamming on this tune. One of my fave Dead tunes.
So I watched "Inside Job" the other night. It is the documentary about the financial collapse. Very interesting to see that so many of the criminals who were involved in the whole criminal mess are part of the Obama administration. Why have none of these people gone to jail?
If we had done the same we would in jail.
Debt limit politics is making me so proud to be an American. We have no leadership in any house in Washington. Is this what we have come to as a country. They all need to smoke a joint or six.
Really got nothing else today.

Deer Summer
Mike and I saw these guys back in the late 80's in Ct. and then once in Tampa. They were a fun band to see.
Summer saw her first deer on Sunday. I took her for a ride and stopped at big soccer field to walk her around. I saw three deer on the other side of a fence. A doe was watching us. Summer finally saw them and wanted to go run after them. They bolted and Summer wanted to go after them. Crazy old girl.
I am going to paint most of the living room walls yellow and the wall behind the couch will be green. I think I may paint the bookshelves green also. The ceiling will be white and there is plenty of white trim. Then I need to decide how to cover the windows and doors so I can block the views from the outside. The walls will then be able to decorated with pictures, art and other things to occupy your mind.
I have two days of my five days of vacation left. I think I am going to take them both Labor Day weekend. I need some time off. Getting burnt out.
Is it Friday yet??????????????????????????????????

The picture is of my porch/gazebo and reading hangout. More color and hippie features coming soon. Picture from the Droid. Sorry it is a little hazy.
Song from the French artist "Edith Piaf". Check the movie "La Vie En Rose". I think you will enjoy it.
Congratulations to Cadel Evans on winning the Tour de France. Well done and well deserved.
Time to take a shower and head to the store for milk, bread, yogurt and cheese.
Have to sand a gas line and paint it with Rustoleum and clean the gutter today.
Shit it have to turn the sprinkler off. Its been on over an hour. Later.
Why do we have 1000 military bases around the world???????????? Paranoia

Hoturday
Gonna be 98 today and humid as all get out.
Bought two things at yard sales today. Book---Excel for Dummies, $2.00. Brand new still packaged Cannon Pixma IP 1600 printer, $10. Needed a printer and a brand new one for 10 bucks fits my budget for now.
Mainly a picture printer. Nothing fancy with this one.
Laundry in the washer.
Bird feeders full.
New filter in the air handler.
Summer walked.
Time to suck up dog hair and do dishes.
Maybe a nap and a trip to the store for a finer brush for summer.
Finish Albert Brooks and then.....................
Enjoy your Saturday.

A lovely little song from the Kinks.
Hot as heck and humid as heck.
Insanely busy at work today. Too busy to work effectively. AAARRGGGHHHH.
Why do we give so much support to Israel?
Thanks Ken, Alberts Brooks book has a ring of truth I hope we don't see.
Yard sales Saturday morning. Maybe a dog roadtrip. Paint a table. Ride my bike. Nap, twice.
Hi Tammy.

War Mongers
U.S. military budget $687 billion dollars, China is second at $118 billion dollars. Think something is wrong with that. Wonder why we are not liked around the world. We are the bullies on the playground.
Could we spend that money at home fixing the United States and around the world doing good. Food not bombs. Water not war. Education not repression.
Why do we continue to lead with a hammer, so we can beat people into submission to make them follow our path.
It is time to "Wage Peace".
We the people are getting pushed too far and the day of reckoning is close at hand.

Ummmmm
Brain freeze this morning. Can't think of much to write about right now so I'll come back later and write some more tonight.
Leave me some ideas.
Oh yeah, Borders is closing all its stores. Well I do have to say it will be very good for savvy independent bookstores. I still would like to own a magazine/newstand used bookstore on the beach.

So it begins
Great temps this weekend. Now the 90's return for a least the next week.
Yeah.......
Summer and I went to Asheville Saturday for some picture taking and walking in a couple parks. Summer went in the French Broad River a bit. She seems to have no problem with water at all.
Got some ok shots however most of the area I wanted to shoot is marked with freshly placed no trespassing signs. Bummer. The weather was fair. No suns and misty at times.
Here is my diet weight.
Weigh in day: 240.
Weigh in day two: 243.5 WTF
Weigh in day three: 233.
Not even sure what to make of those numbers.
Yogurt for breakfast, salad for lunch or some type of soup. ??? for dinner.
NO sugar for the most part.
Massive headaches Saturday night and Sunday.
Make soap??

Really its Friday
Cool Kinks song. One of my favorites. Very underrated in the larger scheme of things.
Seems like this week has been very long.
Meet with the group last week. Planning some type of anti-war events seems to be the game plan. They have not been active the last few years for the most part. Should be interesting to see where it all goes. Most of these folks have been doing this for many years.
Think I am going to head to Asheville in the morning to shoot a few shots around town. Graffiti and so on.
My high school 30th reunion is this weekend. I won't be there.
Gotta run. Take wrinkles out of my shirt.

One of my favorite songs. One of many songs by Steppenwolf that should get more airplay than it does.
These are the folks I am meeting with tomorrow night.
Should be quite interesting. Have no idea what to expect.

Nice job by Rupert Murdoch's folks in England. Maybe up to 9000 hacked phone numbers. WTF is wrong with these people. Wanna bet the same thing has been going on here.
Watch as the Bradley Manning, Julian Assange, Wikileaks mess is getting ready to blow up again.
Evidence that we are becoming a nation of asshole leaders.
This is for Ken and his comment about Summer.

100
Supposed to get to 100 today.
Nice job of spying by the British tabloid. Wonder if they do that here.
Already wish it was the weekend.
Need to go to Bluefield
Summer was freaking me out last night. She keep on staring at me no matter what I was doing. I keep saying "Your freaking me out man" but she just kept on staring.
Squirrels have demolished on bird feeder and another is close to being gone. Time for a good metal one.

The Sunday Times
One cool bluegrass song from the great Doyle Lawson.
Cukes have landed. Picked two from the garden last night.
Now I have maters and cukes picked. Peppers still growing like crazy.
Broccoli growing not producing, same as the zucchini.
The Tour de France has become a crash fest with two of the leaders in a breakaway from the peloton taken out by an asshole driver with a cameraman for French TV. My favorite rider this is the guy you see going up in the air into the barbed wire fence. Both guys did get back on and finish the race. At the time of the accident they were in the lead group 5 plus minutes ahead of the field.
Here is the accident.
Politics of the day.

Saturday is for FUN
So we were heading towards drought conditions now with all the rain we have had over the last week I have mushrooms growing in the front yard. A couple inches last night.
The antique shop down the street is having a little event today including a beer tasting event. I'll be there.
Then this afternoon there is a street fest featuring several bands including Jonathan Scales whoes video is here today. There will be artists and other events going on. I'll head over to that since there is little chance of rain today.
Laundry, breakfast watching the Tour De France, dog bath, sweeping dog hair, vacuuming spider webs, clean the bathroom, yard sale and whatever else happens along the way.
Goodbye shuttle program. Glad I got the see one right there in person.
What will be the next cool thing they come up with?

Hi
We are now in a rainy pattern. Good thunderstorms everyday for the past several days.
I had clothes outside drying. They never get a chance to dry before the next rain storm.
A grizzly killed a man at Yellowstone. Maybe he was pissed about the Exxon oil spill in the Yellowstone River.
I think I am going to take my last two days of vacation over labor day and have a mini vacation. I need one.
Time for a shower.

Politics
I will go see this movie the first chance I get. These guys are fun and play some great music. Ultimately with a sad ending.
Went to the Fun Fourth in downtown Greensboro. BOOOORRRRINNNNGGGGG.
I did get to meet some people who had a booth set up selling pins and bumper stickers of a liberal political nature. BS'd with them for a long time. Going to meet with them and see if I can do some political things with them.
Some fuck lost 9.5% of his weight in the first round of the contest. WTF.
Eat much.
Not sure what to say about Casey Anthony except her lawyers did what they got paid to do. Maybe the state did not. They had no hard evidence, just lots of speculation. Remember you want a lawyer to do what they her lawyers did if you ever are charged of a crime.

Four for the Fourth
Been a slow weekend for the most part. Did household chores, cleaned and organized the guest house and vacuumed and swept several times to eliminate dog hair. I need a good vacuum cleaner.
Going to go to downtown Greensboro for the Fun on the Fourth festivities for a little while today. Shoot some pictures and so on.
Did a major trim job on my beard. It had been two months since I had trimmed it. It took quite a long time.
Summer and I went on a couple little road trips. She likes to ride and is very good in the truck. She has a little trouble getting in since she is plus sized. I took her to the vet Friday afternoon to get a couple stitches removed. She weighs 77.6 pounds. Yikes. 60 would be ok.
The last song I posted was written by Woody Guthrie in case you were wondering why or how it fit into today's theme. The Willie and Asleep at the Wheel song is classic American Texas swing with a little New Orleans feel at the end.
I wish all work weeks were four days. I would gladly work 6 - 5 Monday thru Thursday to get a four day weekend.
Peace, Love and fireworks.

No sleep for the wicked
Insomnia rocks, Summer told me so at about 4:45 this morning.
I guess household chores are the plan today. Tomorrow I'll take Summer on a little roadtrip and show her some new areas to take a crap. :)
The Tour de France starts today. I like watching them race through the French countryside and the massive mountains. I always wanted to race in a bike race.
Peppers are growing quite well.
Time for a walk with Summer.
Birds are chirping gladly as the sun starts its new day.
Have a happy happy.
