Thankfully Friday

Fuck me. The oil compamies are screwing us. Here some first quarter profits. Exxon-Mobil 11 billion, Shell 6 billion and BP 7 billion. Yep, thats taking care of the rich and and screwing the rest.

The war of rich vs poor is on and the poor are losing round 1.

The weather here Wednesday night took a toll on some of the plants I planted. Several got swamped by the massive downpours and have joined the world of the dead.

A very busy and brutal week at work.

Big doings this weekend. Gibsonville car show and spring fling downtown tomorrow. Some huge yard sales in some of the big subdivisions near here. Time to find some things for the yard and house. Ladders, tools, lawnmower and furniture for the porch. Lots of quarters to spend. Plants to go in the ground and leaves to rake.

The weather was fantastic yesterday.

I have lost my photo mojo. I can't find anything cool to shot and my shots look like crap.
Not sure when that will change. Better be soon.

Peppers and green beans going in the ground this week. Lots of other plants going in next week.
Weather is quite nice. 80's with no humidity.

I hacked a bunch of limbs from the trees in front of the house yesterday. You could not really see the house from the street. As you can see the azaleas are in full bloom. After they are done I am trimming them back quite a bit. They are more out of control than they seem here. Hack Hack Hack.

Supposed to be 85 here today. Where is the ocean? Too far away.

Not sure what I am doing. Where is the golden egg?

Off to shower then out for a little roadtrip and picture taking.

Looks like my green beans will be ready to plant this weekend. Maybe the peppers. Seems like the flowers are slow to germinate.

Headache this morning. I think this is a sinus headache.

There are now close to a dozen states that are attempting to require people to drug tests before they get unemployment checks from the state. Money they have already paid in.

Watch out for states attempting to stop or limit abortion through horrible laws being enacted by republican legislatures.

We are spending 2 billion dollars a week in Afghanistan. What have we gained? End the war.

Monday Madness

Did you pay your taxes? I bet you did unlike the following wholesome American companies. Now they did everything all quite legally with the help of their government friends. These corporations get all these breaks and we are going to get Scial Security, Medicaid, Medicare and other social programs cut. Pay your share.

We spend 20% of our budget on defense. If you have to spend that much on defense are you really safe.

More and more we are beginning to fit the term of a facist state. Really, look at the definition.

Rowdy Rowdy storms through here Saturday. Tornado's must have been on the verge. The temps were decent in the morning but shortly after noon the humidity went way way up. Then thunder and wind and heavy rain. Very close to tornadic activity. I saw trees doing major bending and swaying and rain in buckets. No damage here.

Stormy with a chance of paint

Rain late tonight and tomorrow with chances of very heavy rain, thunderstorms and tornadoes.
Painting the dining room its final coat is in order.

The other day will working in the store I heard a loud bang on the window. When I looked out a bird was lying on the sidewalk. A few minutes later, maybe 10 minutes, I looked out and a crow was sniffing the  body and then went over pecked at it and then flew away. Not 5 minutes later I looked out and a sparrowhawk flew up looked around, walked up to the body, hopped on in, grabbed it in its talons and flew away. Fascinating how these birds scoped this dead bird in such a short time.

Yesterday I went to Walgreens to get tension headache aspirin, yes they have been back everyday this week, and when I go to check out they ask me to donate a dollar for some damm thing. I said no. Then I go to Taco Bell to get a couple tacos and they ask me for a dollar for some other damm program.
Fuck off people. I am sick of going into stores and have them ask me for a dollar for this or that program. Give me money for my mortgage, xanax, to buy my pinball machine and a laptop.

Budget this.............

It is going to be interesting too see where the budget mess goes. When you look and listen to all the numbers getting thrown around you see our leaders are full of poo. The only way too really cut the budget is to do in the budget each year ant not spread it out of many years. It will never happen when you spread it out.

Cut the military budget, raise taxes, close tax loopholes. If you are an American corporation you need to pay your fair share of taxes. If you move your headquarters overseas to avoid taxes then you get NO tax breaks at all. Since they no longer give raises to employees they can use that money to fix America's budget problem.

The military budget could get cut by 1/3 and we would still have enough to run the worlds affairs as someone sees fit. Close bases and stop spending insane dollars on new toys. Hell we could use Wal-Marts buyers to buy the things we need. They know how to drive the cost of things down.

We are having a meeting this morning because our boss is unhappy because she works 80 hours a week while people like me work virtually no overtime. I think I'll keep my views to myself during the meeting.
But if you do not want to give up some control then you reap what you sow.

Going to get a garden rake and other garden tools today and prepare the garden for planting.

150 years ago today the Civil War started. We still have not recovered.

Time for breakfast and then take the wrinkles out of a shirt left hung out to dry.

Waste

Waste of a weekend. Crappy weather until yesterday at around 3 when the sun came out. Lots of rain, lightning and fog. Did not reach the 60's Saturday.

So with crap weather I painted the ceiling in the dining with ultra white flat ceiling paint. Hate it. The ceiling needs some help from crap repair and the flat paint looks like shit. Maybe a satin finish?

Painted half the dining room with an blue, bright blue and I hate it.

Back to square one here. Shit Shit Shit. Now I have no idea what color to use.

Oh well, such is life.

Screw em all

Ok the trains sucked last night. Thry ran all night long and blasted their horns for a seemingly long time. Bastards.

Shut the goverment down. Please just go away you useless fools. Our Republican President had best stand his ground this time and get what us Democrats want. I wish someone would step forward and run against him if only to hold his feet to the fire and force him to explain how shitty he has been and why he is really a Republican.

Actually next it should be: Nobody for President.

Ken and I are running  for the FU Party. It will be the "Angry American" platform. No wars, lower taxes for individual Americans, higher corporate taxes. Close the corporate loopholes for taxes. We will restore the worlds faith in America through our "Social Action Army" where we will go around the world helping farmers and getting water where they have little. Helping people out of poverty and getting them into better housing. In America we will work to eliminate the poor and stop blaming teachers for education problems. We will pay teachers well and STOP CUTTING THE EDUCATION BUDGET. Simplify all taxes.

Ken and I can then get our heads on a Pez dispenser like Will and Kate.

Warm weather is on its way. 80's this weekend.
Going to get my seeds started tonight. Time for flowers, veggies and flowers to get going. Time to add color to the yard.

Went to Lowes last night and picked up some ceiling paint and other accessories for painting. The dining room will be the first room to get painted and decorated.

Looks like my high school class is attempting to have a 30th reunion this year. If it happens I will go. It should be interesting, I think.

Murdering Holly with a side of Crown of Thorns

See all those leaves in the garden beds. They are gone. The leaves along one side of the house are all gone as are Several holly bushes and some type of prickers with insanely long thorns. That bush covered the mail box and was surely there to piss off the mailman. I trimmed that waaaay back and painted the mailbox post white.
I have some pictures  looking down the driveway to the guest house and it makes a huge difference.

I also eliminated bricks and stone and pressure treated woods and rebar and other crap that was in the yard.
My dad also cut out some rotten wood and used a bondo type material and repaired that wood. Nice job.

I guess we  had bad weather last night. Seems I slept through the worst of it.

Congrats to the UConn mens team. Not a great game, but they are the champs and that is all that counts.

Worky Worky

Well my parents have been here since Friday and we did a fair amount of work around the yard and house.
