My best bong was home made; a dark colored wine bottle. We'd fill it with water and leave a bubble about the size of a piece of bamboo fishing pole. Tilt the bottle til we got the bubble in just the right place and tap it with the peen of a small hammer. Cut the bamboo above a knuckle, bore it out, stick in a screen against the knuckle, stick the bamboo down into the bottle, seal with candle wax; fill with water, and enjoy. Most times the bottle shattered, but we had plenty. We used dark bottles so we could not see the slimy green things growing inside after it was used for a few months.
