It begins
So on Friday 10-30-2014 I will turning in my two week notice. They do not have any idea it is coming.
Frankly it is time to move on from my job and find a new path forward. Have no idea where the path will lead but it will be someplace nice and peaceful.
Looks like the final yard sale will be Saturday the 8th. Blowout pricing for all.
More to follow.

Coming Soon
I expect my closing to be in about two weeks. One final yard sale to go.
I am leaving my job and moving with no job in hand. Time to move on. I have not told them I am leaving.
Had enough of the Ebola freakout?
Low 80's for temps yesterday and freezing temps this weekend.
Watch out if the republicans win next week.
Good thing BP got all of the oil from their spill, except for all the oil on the floor of the Gulf.
Gonna put a few quick Ebay auctions up and get a little cash before I go south.
Need some books? A few more going up tonight.
I think my parents are actually going to put the house up for sale.
Be back later.

ummmmm
Some master musicians playing on this tune.
Seems like the leaves will be turning early this year. I see trees already changing here and that is several weeks early for this area. I'll have to get one trip to the mountains before heading to the beach.
One thing I need to do is find a book store that will buy most of my books. Those will not go at the yard sale.
Wow is it ever getting dark way too early.
When are the troops going into Iraq and Syria? Mission creep coming soon.

Yard sale success
Massively successful yard sale yesterday. $1291.00 worth of merchandise gone to a new home.
One more sale at some point soon and all will be gone.
Having a meeting to talk about selling the house. Florida may be coming very soon.
Having not watched or listened to any news for a few days is liberating.
Who wants a cat? I have a few to give away.
Labor day already. Can I wear white?

Very sad
Very sad about Robin Williams. It's about time we serious about helping people with depression.
Watch this and try not to laugh.

ramblings
I could live in a tiny house, no problem at all.
Lots of rain over the last week. Very odd "summer" weather. 63 yesterday morning
Another U.S. backed genocide continues in Gaza and the majority of Americans continue to believe the propaganda they are being spoon fed by our government and the media. It is time our tax dollars stopped supporting the Zionist movement.
The new car is great. Fun to zip around in a little ride. 28 - 30 miles per gallon.
The CIA spied on a senate committee. Have they spied on you.

I'm out
I emailed my realtor today. I am putting the house up for sale.
Enough of the Greensboro years. I am heading back to the Tampa area.
That's it. That's my plan.
If I did not own my house I'd just go. I am sick of plenty of things around here and it's time to head back to the beach.
Yard sales coming soon.

Bang Bang Boom Boom
And a little rock.
Got rid of the Denali yesterday and got a Kia Soul. It has a whopping 142 horsepower. It does have a 315 watt eight speaker stereo, sun roof, cruise control and lots of gas savings.
Gonna head to the 4th event in downtown Greensboring today. Should be at the beach drinking heavily.

Monster
Monster
Once the religious, the hunted and weary
Chasing the promise of freedom and hope
Came to this country to build a new vision
Far from the reaches of kingdom and pope
Like good Christians some would burn the witches
Later some got slaves to gather riches
But still from near and far to seek America
They came by thousands, to court the wild
But she just patiently smiled, and bore them a child
To be their spirit, and guiding light
And once the ties with the crown had been broken
Westward in saddle and wagon they went
And till the railroad linked ocean to ocean
Many the lives which had come to an end
While we bullied, stole and bought our a homeland
We began the slaughter of the red man
But still from near and far to seek America
They came by thousands, to court the wild
But she just patiently smiled, and bore them a child
To be their spirit, and guiding light
The blue and gray they stomped it
They kicked it just like a dog
And when the war over
They stuffed it just like a hog
And though the past has it's share of injustice
Kind was the spirit in many a way
But it's protectors and friends have been sleeping
Now it's a monster and will not obey
Suicide
The spirit was freedom and justice
And it's keepers seemed generous and kind
It's leaders were supposed to serve the country
But now they won't, pay it no mind
'Cause the people grew fat and got lazy
Now their vote is a meaningless joke
They babble about law and order
But it's all just an echo of what they've been told
Yeah, there's a monster on the loose
It's got our heads into the noose
And it just sits there watchin'
The cities have turned into jungles
And corruption is stranglin' the land
The police force is watching the people
And the people just can't understand
We don't know how to mind our own business
'Cause the whole world's got to be just like us
Now we are fighting a war over there
No matter who's the winner, we can't pay the cost
'Cause there's a monster on the loose
It's got our heads into the noose
And it just sits there, watching
America
America, where are you now
Don't you care about your sons and daughters
Don't you know, we need you now
We can't fight alone against the monster
America, where are you now
Don't you care about your sons and daughters
Don't you know, we need you now
We can't fight alone against the monster
America, where are you now
Don't you care about your sons and daughters
Don't you know, we need you now
We can't fight alone against the monster
America, where are you now
Don't you care about your sons and daughters
Don't you know, we need you now
We can't fight alone against the monster
America, where are you now
Don't you care about your sons and daughters
Don't you know, we need you now
We can't fight alone against the monster
World at War
Glad I got to see Levon.
Good thing we are in Iraq, fighting with the Syrians and Iranians, against our allies the Saudis, UAE, Qatar and few others. Good plan guys. Glad we went to war. Next fuck up?
The Supreme Court decision shows why we need single payer health care.

Wow
If we listen to the war mongers, death merchants and war criminals we will be in another full scale war in Iraq. Go fuck yourselves. We do not like you and you are the reason we are hated around the world.
Summer gets here this week. In the 90's. Want to swim the Gulf.
Finally watching "The Wire". Very good, watch it on Amazon.
Nice job USA Soccer. Defense made it a little nerve racking.
Put the video on and do some stuff.

I am here
Sweet Emmy and the Hot Band doing a great version of the Chuck Berry song.
So one of the young cats living here had three kittens last week. I was down to three cats now it is back to six. The odd thing the mother is not feeding them, her mother is. Yup just like humans the grandparents are taking care of the kids.
Finally bought myself a new camera. A great point and shoot camera. It is the Sony RX100 ii.
Seems to be a great little camera so far. Now to figure out everything it does. Not even sure how to get the pictures off the camera.
My grandmother turned 92 on Friday and Paul died a year ago yesterday.
Weather has been really darn nice. Summer heat is slow in coming.
Farm fresh eggs for breakfast.

Speedway
Off to Charlotte today to see Nascar's allstar race. Free ticket, pit pass and seats in suite. Sounds good to me. Weather looks to be perfect. Hopefully there is action, crashing and fun for all. Pictures a coming.
Think I'll head to the Outer Banks next Saturday.
Gotta go. Things to do. Chores.

blah blah blah
Can't log into youtube through Firefox. WTF.
Fuck you Fox News. Enough on Benghazi. We want to hear why the Bush war criminal cabinet and the friends went to war in Iraq. How many died there? Hundreds of thousands have died for no reason, no reason.

cpap
This is quite the interview.
Got my cpap machine so I can sleep at night. Last night was the first night. I slept for an hour. Felt like I was being smothered. The machine was turned off an I went to sleep. I think I'll go on the 100 pound crack diet. I know this is all because of weight gain. Pathetic.
Check out Orphan Black on Amazon Prime, very good show.
Mamiya C3 going on Ebay in a couple days.
Happy Earth Day.

Saturday's and all is good
This should have been nominated as the best song of 2013. It is all true. Amazing singing and song writing. Saw him on PBS last night on Live at Lincoln Center. Watch it if you get the chance.
Gonna look for a pedestal sink for the bathroom today.
Watched a documentary on Netflix about "Buck Angel, Man with a Vagina". Very interesting.
When is Youtube going to be on Roku 2?
Comcast should not be able to buy Time Warner. Too large a company with too much control over content.

Yankee fever
She was sixteen when she released this.
Men's and Lady's in the championship game. What is in the water in Storrs?
1.5 inches of rain today. Guess the leaves will out in full force in a couple days.
I miss not having Cuban sandwiches.
That's it. Really just wanted to post the song.

Hoops
Congrats to the Huskies. Very well played game.
Seems like spring has sprung. Green is starting to pop along with pollen.
Gonna fix an old picture frame today and put some wood in it to make it a blackboard. Paint the board with chalkboard paint.
Ping Ping, I'm a plane.

round 2
Did the second round of the sleep study last night. Uggh. Slept ok. Loved wearing the sleep mask. Well not really. Annoying at best, but mostly plain shit.
Go UConn. Ladies and the men in the Final Four, again. Who woulda thunk it?
Time for yard work, laundry and the usual weekend crap.
Maybe I'll paint something this weekend.
Need the beach.

Last blast
A Greensboro area band.
So my sleep study went poorly. Slept worse than usual.
Looks like we may get some snow or slush today for a last blast of winter.
My parents will be here Friday.
Living room 99% repainted. Curtains going up tonight.
Sell everything. Start over. Everything.

Ice Ice
Nice version. The vocals of Joe Lynn and Candace work well together and of course Ritchie's guitar work is great.
So we are having an ice, slush, freezing rain and wind storm. Heard several trees falling around the hood and at least on transformer blow up. It has been going for around 12 hours.
Going to be in the 60's this weekend.
Here are a couple cool websites for your viewing pleasure.

Weather is weird
Lucky">http://vimeo.com/83888468">Lucky Riders
from imogene">http://vimeo.com/imogenewillie">imogene + willie on Vimeo.https://vimeo.com">Vimeo.>
So yesterday it was in the low 70's and was 56 at 6 a.m. this morning, at 1 p.m. it was sleeting and at 2:30 I was on my way home. Woo Hoo. Weird.
I think you will like this video. Found it surfing.
Bought a new sofa today for $300.00. It was a market sample. I put my old pos couch outside on the curb yesterday. It was gone very quick.
Hopefully the living room will be completely repainted by Saturday.

Just things
This is a great little documentary. I am sure it will make you smile.
Going to paint today. Time to refresh the living room.
Nice little battle with Putin. This outta turn out well.
Working on a plan to sell the truck and buy a cheaper used vehicle.
Have a sleep study coming up in a couple weeks. That should be interesting.
Was looking at a golden retriever rescue the other day and they had a female about 6 years old, legally blind, that was a great dog. Not getting another dog, yet.
Time to start paint prep.

Raincar
Well all things were not perfect in Daytona yesterday but...... The rain was a gift and gave us much better racing than we have seen in many a year. Seeing how happy JR was after winning was great.
I think it was a validation he needed since winning any race had eluded him for some time.
Well things will be interesting in Ukraine for some time. It does show the power of people and how gov'ts that continue to suppress their people these days will continue to feel pressure to listen to their demands. Much of this would not be possible without social media. Fascinating to see how different aspects of social media play a role in government upheaval.
So I replaced a window Saturday and learned that I have the caulking skills of a five year old. No HGTV show for me.
Planted some flowers where I buried Summer. Going to plant more when the weather takes the next notch to warmer weather. Going to put a bird bath in Summer's Garden as well.
Spring forward in two weeks. We need to be on this time schedule all year long.
So work is NOT going to pay us for the snow day last week. Even though I am a salaried employee I still am not getting paid. What a load of crap that is. FU.
Peace out amigos.

This band rocks. Heard them on WQFS one of the local college radio stations. They play a great mix of music. Check them out online.
How did the jury NOT convict Michael Dunn of murder in the Florida "loud music" case?
Ever eat Pho?
Sleep study coming soon.
Roadtrip this weekend. Some painting as well.

Pretty interesting biography.
The cats are acting weird since Summer died and they are also freaked by snow and ice.
Going to close to 70 by Friday. Robins are around.
The new season of House of Cards has started and it kicks ass. Great writing.
Think I'll take a nap before The Walking Dead, also very good.
Snow is almost gone and some schools are on a delay tomorrow. WTF.
Daytona 500 next weekend.

Snowwwww my Ggggggoooooooooooooooood
They are saying we are going to get 6 - 10 inches of snow in Greensboro. Snow starting around noon time. Should be interesting to see how well this area handles that amount of snow. If we get the 10 inches we will be crippled for a couple days.
Rechargeable flashlights, Coleman lantern, camera batteries all check.
Ready for the storm, check.
People forget how good a guitar player Gary Richrath is.

Goodbye dear Summer
My dear sweet Summer passed away during the day yesterday. She was not feeling good when I went to work yesterday and she passed during the day. On Sunday I groomed her and took her for the longest walk she had been on for some time.
Summer was kind and sweet to everyone, even cats. Most of all she was kind to me. She was what a rescue dog should be.
She was loved and gave love.
You are missed old girl.

How it all ended
This is such a fabulous video. I love the old man climbing the ladder while smoking the pipe. Odd how watching London in this video it seems like it is still the 50's. To think it is just shy of five years after they arrived in America. How they and the world changed in those ensuing five years.
They were the first albums I bought as a teenager.
Ken did you see the Ed Sullivan show live?

No sleep
Well I guess it is time I go to a sleep study place for sleep apnea. I keep on waking up feeling like I can't breath. Frightening.
What an odd winter. Warm weather, freezing cold weather and lots of rain. Gonna be 61 today.
Work very busy.
Not much going on. No money, lots of bills. What is the next thing to cut out of the budget.
Maybe I should by a cheap vehicle and sell the truck.
So I thought I had three weeks vacation this year. Nope, I do not get the third week until next year.
Had a cold last week and a nasty cough. My ribs are killing me.
Life is grand.

The Kid with Stones
So I spent last weekend with kidney stones.
They hurt so bad I went to the hospital at 3a.m. I was not expecting it to be stones. But I had two of them. Yea, for me.
Mike and Tammy have sold their house and moved into a trailer on Tammy's brothers property until they buy a house.
Christ I just saw some cobwebs that must have been here for a while. Amazing what the sun brings out in the house.
Who wants to paint my house?
What the heck is the deal with this cold as heck weather. This weeks looks to have some days with single digit numbers for lows, again. When it gets that cold the house gets very cold and I have to leave water running so the pipes do not freeze.
Watch Ebay, some good books coming to Ebay today.
Peace

Juicey
Back in college I did many bong hits to the Doors and this song. Love this dam song.
Man I need to do that again.
Is this song an acid trip?
Started juicing. Tonight was apples, carrots and lemons. It was pretty darn good.
Friday, January 10, 2014
Wow
I have been in North Carolina for 4 years. Not really golden years.
Really has not been quite a successful adventure, in my opinion. Time for a new strategy.
Going to the grocery store and getting fruit and veggies to start juicing. Can't wait to see the results.
Sold the Leica today. Ebay been good to me.

The long run
Derek Trucks and Warren Haynes are leaving the Allman Brothers at the end of 2014. Make sure you seem them this year.
Was 5 degrees here Tuesday morning and 13 yesterday. Pipes almost froze. Got lucky there.
Just got my Breville juicer yesterday. Gonna starting juicing.
Is it Friday yet?

Respect your elders
Here are two examples of people paying respect to their musical elders.
If people doubted the Everly Brothers influence in todays music just listen to this album. Bet most people would not have figured these two doing this album.
The we have Justin Timberlake and Carey Mulligan singing the classic hit by Peter, Paul and Mary.
Of course this was put together by T. Bone Burnett who has an amazing way of putting current musicians together with classic music from our American past.
Speaking of music I went to an antique store yesterday looking for something to put on Ebay.
I ended up buying two things. One was a large package of items from the Tom Jones Fan Club.
It included a 45 recorded for the fan club, fan club pins, press photos, a little Tom Jones puzzle, a couple calendars, and postcards for album releases. All for a whopping $3.
The second thing I bought was a bag with 285 assorted snapshots of Tom Jones. Some are of him in concert and the others are assorted casual shots. From what I can tell these were taken by someone connected to his assorted fan clubs. They are actual pictures, not press shots or anything like that.
One is autographed. This was also a whopping $3.
I know I can a least get my money back.
