Brrr

Enjoy the man called Dali.

Very good weekend.

Was out cutting more trees down Saturday morning. It has opened up the left side of the house/yard a whole bunch.. Looks much better. Lots of brush for the town to pick up this morning.

Street fest during the day Saturday and went to O.A.R. Saturday night. A free show with lots and lots of people and very very long beer lines.

Yesterday I took a little trip to Henry River Village. It is and old abandoned "town" with about 20 homes and an old store. This was used in the movie "The Hunger Games". While I was there a lot of other folks were there also checking out the abandoned homes. They are in poor shape and almost to the point of not being able to be rescued. They all had outhouses, but they did have electricity. Vandals have also  done there part.
One guy owns all the property and has it for sale.

Here is a little video clip.

.

It is a pretty nice area and would be cool to own, renovate the homes and have a store and restaurant in the old store or make it a house.

Found an old rusty Falfstaff 1776 -1976 beer can and an old coke bottle. They came home with. Did not think they would miss these items.

Think I'll go back when the leaves start to change and get more pictures.

Have a Monday.

I liked Dali's life and humor.
I hope someone does rescue the town but some of the houses look past helping.

Dali was a little crazy and smart. His museum in St. Pete is well worth a visit or two.

The town is close to being beyond repair.
