So I see that United Healthcare made a profit of $859 million dollars last quarter. Well thats very nice. The company i work for has you as our insurance company and what do we just get as a gift from you.
As of Sept. 1st.
Current deductible---$250.00
New deductible---$1000.00
Current percent covered---80%
New percent covered---70%
If you have a family it is even worse than that.
The cost is also going up and that amount has yet to be determined.
There are, of course, other coverage areas which are also going to be covered less and cost more.
This is a perfect example of why we need to get the healthcare system under control.
How does a company justify raising rates and covering less while make such huge profits?
There is no excuse for this. There is a total lack of morality and compassion for people when corporate America runs a business like this.

This greatly pisses me. There is no way that any company can justify such actions, but it has become the norm in the US. It doesn't look like things are going to be changed at the government level, so it is time for Americans to take to the streets and protest. If enough of us stop paying taxes, then we will get the attention of of the government. It will take a lot of angry people to change things, but it must be done some how. The ballot box is a laugh.
I will be interesting when they tells us how much our rates are going up. I really think people just do not know what to do.
