If news papers Like the New York Times, L.A. Times and others would splash this genetic stuff on their front pages, this crap may get attention; Americans don't know what is going on with their daily bread.
Bad as it is, politicians love things like the killings; it gives them a chance to do other things--such as budget--out of the limelight
You would think something like human genes being introduced into food would warrant some main stream press.
The whole thing is becoming a big mess already.
