Snowwwww my Ggggggoooooooooooooooood
They are saying we are going to get 6 - 10 inches of snow in Greensboro. Snow starting around noon time. Should be interesting to see how well this area handles that amount of snow. If we get the 10 inches we will be crippled for a couple days.
Rechargeable flashlights, Coleman lantern, camera batteries all check.
Ready for the storm, check.
People forget how good a guitar player Gary Richrath is.

Goodbye dear Summer
My dear sweet Summer passed away during the day yesterday. She was not feeling good when I went to work yesterday and she passed during the day. On Sunday I groomed her and took her for the longest walk she had been on for some time.
Summer was kind and sweet to everyone, even cats. Most of all she was kind to me. She was what a rescue dog should be.
She was loved and gave love.
You are missed old girl.

How it all ended
This is such a fabulous video. I love the old man climbing the ladder while smoking the pipe. Odd how watching London in this video it seems like it is still the 50's. To think it is just shy of five years after they arrived in America. How they and the world changed in those ensuing five years.
They were the first albums I bought as a teenager.
Ken did you see the Ed Sullivan show live?

No sleep
Well I guess it is time I go to a sleep study place for sleep apnea. I keep on waking up feeling like I can't breath. Frightening.
What an odd winter. Warm weather, freezing cold weather and lots of rain. Gonna be 61 today.
Work very busy.
Not much going on. No money, lots of bills. What is the next thing to cut out of the budget.
Maybe I should by a cheap vehicle and sell the truck.
So I thought I had three weeks vacation this year. Nope, I do not get the third week until next year.
Had a cold last week and a nasty cough. My ribs are killing me.
Life is grand.

The Kid with Stones
So I spent last weekend with kidney stones.
They hurt so bad I went to the hospital at 3a.m. I was not expecting it to be stones. But I had two of them. Yea, for me.
Mike and Tammy have sold their house and moved into a trailer on Tammy's brothers property until they buy a house.
Christ I just saw some cobwebs that must have been here for a while. Amazing what the sun brings out in the house.
Who wants to paint my house?
What the heck is the deal with this cold as heck weather. This weeks looks to have some days with single digit numbers for lows, again. When it gets that cold the house gets very cold and I have to leave water running so the pipes do not freeze.
Watch Ebay, some good books coming to Ebay today.
Peace

Juicey
Back in college I did many bong hits to the Doors and this song. Love this dam song.
Man I need to do that again.
Is this song an acid trip?
Started juicing. Tonight was apples, carrots and lemons. It was pretty darn good.

Wow
I have been in North Carolina for 4 years. Not really golden years.
Really has not been quite a successful adventure, in my opinion. Time for a new strategy.
Going to the grocery store and getting fruit and veggies to start juicing. Can't wait to see the results.
Sold the Leica today. Ebay been good to me.

The long run
Derek Trucks and Warren Haynes are leaving the Allman Brothers at the end of 2014. Make sure you seem them this year.
Was 5 degrees here Tuesday morning and 13 yesterday. Pipes almost froze. Got lucky there.
Just got my Breville juicer yesterday. Gonna starting juicing.
Is it Friday yet?

Respect your elders
Here are two examples of people paying respect to their musical elders.
If people doubted the Everly Brothers influence in todays music just listen to this album. Bet most people would not have figured these two doing this album.
The we have Justin Timberlake and Carey Mulligan singing the classic hit by Peter, Paul and Mary.
Of course this was put together by T. Bone Burnett who has an amazing way of putting current musicians together with classic music from our American past.
Speaking of music I went to an antique store yesterday looking for something to put on Ebay.
I ended up buying two things. One was a large package of items from the Tom Jones Fan Club.
It included a 45 recorded for the fan club, fan club pins, press photos, a little Tom Jones puzzle, a couple calendars, and postcards for album releases. All for a whopping $3.
The second thing I bought was a bag with 285 assorted snapshots of Tom Jones. Some are of him in concert and the others are assorted casual shots. From what I can tell these were taken by someone connected to his assorted fan clubs. They are actual pictures, not press shots or anything like that.
One is autographed. This was also a whopping $3.
I know I can a least get my money back.
